The story of the Pokémon Rescue Team: the heroes that rescued Pokémon trapped on forgotten cartridges. In 2017, The Pokémon Company released this nostalgic commercial featuring a fictional team that takes on the task of finding and rescuing your precious Pokémon friends from old games. It highlights how even after so many years you can still go on adventures with your Pokémon. Reality has changed a lot since then; currently, once the Pokémon Bank closes, there will be no official way to transfer old Pokémon to current games. The company deleted the video a few years ago, hoping we would forget about it, but we've recovered it

Logan Paul explains how focusing on the right things made money follow ''Money seems to be a byproduct of the things I love doing. I made YT videos for 10 years before anyone realized that you could become a YouTuber and make a career out of it'' ''I played thousands of hours of the Pokémon games before I ever made a penny from Pokémon, and Pokémon in particular is the perfect fit for me. It's business, it's passion, and it's content, and Pokémon checks all these boxes'' ''I get to do a lot of things where I can sit in that pocket''

Pokémon Stadium, running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Pokémon has been all over X this week because of Gen1Recomp. That made me want to bring the original Pokémon Stadium to iPhone and iPad. Not an emulator. The game has been statically recompiled and rebuilt as a native ARM64 app rendering directly through Metal. No N64 hardware being simulated, no ROM interpreted at runtime, no streaming from a Mac. And it is more than a new way to play it. AnnePad fixes several of the crackle and audio-timing problems that crop up when Pokémon Stadium is emulated. I genuinely think it is the best way to play the original game today. Pair a Bluetooth controller and play the whole thing. Touch works too, and multiplayer. I used Codex 5.6 Sol to build the Apple layer. Open sourcing it all below.

Dolphin Emulator didn't become the best GameCube and Wii emulator overnight. It started in 2003 as a small Windows project by two developers. Games barely ran, there was no audio, and most titles struggled to hit 20 FPS. Many thought the project was finished after development stopped in 2004. But in 2008, Dolphin went open source. Developers worldwide joined the project, Wii support arrived, and Dolphin evolved into one of the greatest emulators ever made. Today it offers: • Excellent GameCube & Wii compatibility • 4K upscaling and HD texture packs • Save states and NetPlay • Real Wii Remote & GameCube controller support • Frequent updates, plus Triforce arcade support More than 22 years later, Dolphin is a perfect example of what open-source collaboration can achieve. 🎥 I've shared a complete Windows setup tutorial covering download, installation, recommended settings, and everything you need to start playing GameCube and Wii games. Watch the full video, and let me know if you have any questions!

I'm a huge Pokémon fan. The dream has always been a high-quality, immersive and story driven game in a procedural open world. On the range of monster-catching games out there, the Pokémon lore is so deep and would love to see this in reality. Tried to bring this life:

Mew was added to Pokémon Red and Blue so late that the games were basically finished. After debug features were removed, Game Freak found about 300 bytes of free space and used it for one secret Pokémon. That leftover space created one of gaming’s biggest playground rumors.

Thanks to leaks, we now know Pokémon Project Synapse – a new online multiplayer Pokémon game is being unveiled this week. But what is Pokémon Synapse? The short answer is we don't know yet, we know it's multiplayer and likely being developed by Pokémon Works, the new company set by ILCA and TPC, but we have some hints about it from last year's Teraleak. In the Teraleak there was another game that fit this description - the cancelled Pokémon Project Rodeo. The game is also an online multiplayer game for both Switch and smartphones and revolves around using ride Pokémon to defeat rampaging Pokémon. In the pitch document for it, it mentions some Splatoon references for the fact that you can customize your characters and your gun (yeah it has some kind of gun), and the fact that it's a team based online game. While Rodeo was cancelled, we think that parts of it have been reincorporated into Synapse, what we don't know yet is how different it is now.
