Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) keeps getting dismissed over a thirty-second origin gag, while the rest of the film just moves. Train heist, Donald Glover locking into Lando & a crew dynamic that actually clicks. It never really got judged on what it is.

Curry Barker says ensuring that Nikki is accurately portrayed as a victim in ‘OBSESSION’ was just as important as making her scary in the film. “What you’re left with is a really tragic story about a man & a woman & leaning into the realism of that was really important.”

I can't believe we got Kris Kristofferson to play a parody of Hans Solo on the Donny and Marie show. It just goes to show what a good sense of humor he had. Thank you for all your music, Kris. May you rest in peace. Star Wars

Max on his relationship with Lando: 🗣️: “My co-worker is a huge F1 fan and she wants to know if you’re still friends with Lando.” Max: “Yeah, I mean, that has never changed. It’s always been the same.” 🗣️: “Got a little bit of spicy at the end of the last season?” Max: “Got spicy, but there’s also a bit of fun in it, just being like that. Honestly, also the media makes it always probably a bit more spicy than it actually is.”

The Mando Teaser they released at Star Wars Celebration a year ago is 10x better than any piece of marketing they've publicly released, this Trailer actually feels like a STAR WARS Film Marketing has been so incompetent it feels like they're actively trying to tank the film

Most creators don't hit a wall because the ideas dry up. They hit it because the energy does. keeps the machine running without running you into the ground. Because content isn't really a task. It's a cycle that never fully stops. Here's what actually sustains it 👇

Before Uncharted, Tom Holland wanted to make a young James Bond movie starring himself as 007. He pitched a Bond origin story that had never been done before. “I don’t think the Bond estate were particularly interested,” Holland said. “It was the dream of a young kid.” “It didn’t really make sense.” It eventually sparked Uncharted. “The idea of a young Bond film sparked this idea, in turn, that you could do a Nathan Drake story as an origin story, rather than as an adaptation of the games.”

**The way his fingers naturally follow the contours of the car is such a crazy detail.** For a fast-paced action shot that most people would only see for a second, the level of detail is honestly insane. His hand doesn't just clip into the vehicle or rest awkwardly on it it actually conforms to the shape of the car's bodywork in a believable way. It's one of those subtle details that adds a huge amount of realism, and the fact that Rockstar put that much effort into a split-second moment says a lot about the overall level of polish.

A college professor just got exposed for exactly who they're related to — and the internet is losing it. "Turns out I work for one of the biggest employers in Chicago." Innocent line, right? Wrong — what follows connects dots most people never even thought to look for. A campus story about "indoctrination" just turned into something way bigger: a family connection, a power structure, and a reaction that says it all. Once you see it, you can't unsee it — stick around for the moment it all clicks. Watch the full episode on my YT channel! Link is in the comments 📷

We’re told last week’s train derailment in Regina over a bridge was caused by a portable derailer device. A crew set up the safety device while working on the bridge and forgot to remove it. The train engineer didn’t see it and hit the device which derailed the train over the side of the bridge.

Darth Vader’s never looked cooler than in the final moments of Rogue One. When that red light saber turned on, the theater shook. This has to be considered an all-time Star Wars moment within an all-time Star Wars film. Rogue One is a film Star Wars fans deserved.

‘OBSESSION’ director Curry Barker on his approach to the horror in the film: “From the beginning, I knew that I didn’t want this to be a demon-possessed movie. It was something that we talked about a lot, never really wanting to lean it too far into the idea that she’s just this angry demon that goes on a killing spree, but more leaning into just a crazy jealous girlfriend who will do anything to make sure he doesn’t look at other women. Just leaning into the groundedness of the result of the wish instead of leaning into what it could become.”

It’s really cool that Vector Prime, the first book in the New Jedi Order series from the Star Wars Expanded Universe, actually got a commercial made to advertise it back in 1999. Even cooler that they actually got Mark Hamill to come back for voiceover work.

Darth Maul briefly making a cameo via hologram at the end of Solo: A Star Wars Story is honestly still one of the biggest surprises to happen in any Star Wars movie. I'll never forget how my friends and I reacted seeing this happen in theaters back in 2018. None of us expected this in a Han Solo standalone adventure, yet somehow made Qi'ra's character even more complex.
