Built a fantasy RPG word-learning game with MiniMax M3. You defeat corrupted monsters by matching words correctly, while the game dynamically tracks mistakes, scales difficulty, unlocks elite remixes, and maintains progression systems across maps, continents, and boss fights. What stood out with M3 is that it could consistently handle long-context game logic, UI flow, progression balancing, and feature iteration without constantly breaking earlier systems. This is the first time an open model felt less like “prompt in, output out” and more like a system that can actually help maintain complex creative workflows.

After 3 years, the studio I founded Notorious Studios is shipping its first game tomorrow -- Legacy: Steel & Sorcery. It features an innovative 3rd person Action-based combat that blends Soulslike combat with MMORPG-style spells & abilities, rich progression systems, and a "World PvP" core experience (extraction rpg). World PvP has always been a part of MMORPGs (one of my favorite parts), but has never had its own game -- until now. I think I might have discovered the best 2D game engine for vibe coding games. For the past few weeks, I have been making a lovecraftian fishing game with peaceful day time fishing and intense night time combat where you fend off mutated sea creatures. And I've been using Love2D game engine for this. Love2D game engine runs on LUA, which is a compact (token-friendly) programming language that many models (GPT5, Grok Code and Sonnet) are pretty good at. I'm considering to set up a Patreon where I'll share more in depth content (devlogs, prompts, advice, tips etc) where I'll share my learnings as I vibe code an indie game from scratch. If you're interested in this, please let me know in the replies. Trying to gauge interest on this!
