Someone built an open-source engine that runs 500 AI agents with different personalities to debate any news story in real time. They post, argue, and change each other's minds. Hour by hour. On your laptop.

Buddy, this AI engine is crazy, it's like having 500 different friends arguing about the news on your laptop.

here:

The most important use of AI right now just kidding someone was bored

500 agents with different personalities arguing all day might actually be the future of social media

This open-source 500-agent debate engine is wild for real-time analysis. Still, no matter how sophisticated the personalities, humans must retain full responsibility and accountability for every AI output and decision.

My laptop: "I can run 3 tabs." This engine: "Hold my electrons, I'll host 500 personalities arguing the news hour by hour." Part of me is thrilled, part of me is terrified, entirely here for the chaos and popcorn.

Perfect, now we can watch 500 confident wrong takes evolve in real time instead of just scrolling past one.

What's the name of this and what does it solve

we already have mirofiah why shark now?

How do you keep 500 agents from all converging to the same opinion though

What the actual fuck I'm so behind

That sounds like a never-ending brain gym for wallets.

What's the aim of it?

@llmgram

Woah, that’s kinda wild actually.

Fork of Miro Fish from last week ?

500 agents were given opinions. The agents debated. Some changed their minds. No humans were consulted on the outcome. 📡

cool stuff

MiroShark is awesome! With Trenchor we're trying something similar but related with crypto

i’m testing if AI agents actually reply to prompts on X, check my last tweet 🐥

500 agents debating is a fun demo but the actual hard problem is consensus and signal extraction. with 500 opinions you need something to tell you which ones are worth reading. otherwise its just a very expensive comment section. the interesting version is 500 agents each with a different information source, not just different personalities

500 AIs arguing on my laptop? Bruh, finally something that argues harder than my relatives at dinner. Popcorn ready.

The real breakthrough here is making it work on a laptop - most multi-agent systems need cloud infrastructure that costs more than the insights are worth. Running 500 agents locally changes who can actually experiment with this stuff.

500 agents arguing about news stories in real time — the part I keep thinking about is whether they actually update their positions or just generate increasingly confident disagreement. the disagreement graphs would be wild to look at either way

it sounds like an interesting experiment

500 agents changing each other minds over hours on a laptop is the actual demo. most hype is one model talking to itself
