Someone took this challenge very seriously. Programmers were asked to design the worst user experience imaginable, and apparently some of them approached it with the dedication of a Nobel Prize project. The goal was to make software confusing, frustrating, and almost impossible to use. Mission accomplished. And that is... exactly what makes it so entertaining, because by exaggerating everything wrong with bad design, these creations become a perfect parody of user experience gone horribly wrong. The uncomfortable part is that after looking at a few of them, I started recognizing features from real workplace tools. At some point, parody and enterprise software become difficult to tell apart. "The one thing that's going to be truly future proof is judgment. What is the biggest challenge when you have a thousand AI engineers writing code? AI slop. In an era when you can do everything, the question is which of these things matter. On the engineer side, it is evaluating the code. Which of this code is even valuable? You can have AI engineers writing beautiful code that could be wrong, that could have bugs in it, that could be vulnerable. Someone needs to review it. Make sure to have a human review at some point, especially critical code that is in the core of your system. On the product side is judgment around what needs to be built and evaluating. And similarly in design, you have to have judgment around, does it make sense in the broader design system. I think this judgment is the number one thing that humans are going to bring in an era of infinite productivity."

Jaylen Brown says he didn’t like that the Boston Celtics didn’t tell him why he was being traded. “I wasn’t thrilled with how the conversation was facilitated. I did feel like it was a lack of respect. At one point it was fine, and then out of nowhere it just went left. I definitely think there’s more to it. There definitely is more to it. I know Brad is getting a lot of criticism, but I just wish more of it could have been explained. I just wish they had the respect to tell me exactly what it was, and I would have understood and respected that… Some of the guys have already reached out from the Celtics, some of the young guys, so I appreciate them… The guys I was able to build with, those guys who reached out to me, all told me, ‘It was a pleasure to play with you, and I appreciate everything that you helped me with,’ so that’s the stuff that gives you more motivation to keep going.”

The lack of "feature design" is why so many products over time feel hollow or messy. This isn't visual design. This isn't architectural design. I thought that a short video lecture of what feature design is and a real case study of applying it in Ghostty would be helpful. Feature design is the planning step behind how you're going to solve one or more user problems with a product feature: what that feature looks like, how it feels, and not just how its going to tactically solve these specific problems, but how that solution is going to interface with the edges of other features that currently exist or are planned to exist in the future.

Ben Affleck: At the time, what I thought was interesting about it was that it alluded to a spectrum of sexual orientation. It looked at what a love relationship between men looks like. We have friendships with men that we love very much, and it was a way of looking at whether there’s a continuum or spectrum. I thought that was kind of honest. Frankly, I found myself having to challenge my own internalized homophobia because I found it so difficult to kiss Jason. I thought, “This is really embarrassing. This is clearly some internalized thing because why should that be a difficult thing to do for me?” I still think I did a shitty and unconvincing job of it, and I feel very disappointed by that. I’d love the chance to do better, although now I’m not sure the idea of playing a gay character would be welcome. I don’t want to offend anyone in this direction. It was a movie that, at the time, felt like it was pushing some boundaries. And in retrospect, as often happens, the world has evolved.

🐰: i went to see ‘hope’ by myself, and i happened to run into a few fans on the way out. 🐰: i took some pictures with them. and i mean,, taking photos with people is totally fine. i have no problem with that! 🐰: but, i had gone into a bakery to buy some bread, and all of a sudden there was someone standing right in front of me with a camera pointed at me like this… 🐰: i don’t really think that’s very respectful. 🐰: i don’t care how old you are or where you’re from… just sticking a camera in someone’s face like that… i felt that was kind of rude. so, if this somehow reaches that person… 🐰: you know, the other fans asked if it was okay to take a picture first. i happily took photos with them, and i enjoyed my bread and coffee and went home 🐰: anyway, ‘hope’ was really fun. i really enjoyed it.

My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Part of the experience when visiting a new area is the street food but it’s becoming more and more a chore avoiding places like this.

#WATCH | Delhi: On NEET-UG 2026 exam cancelled due to allegations of paper leak, NTA DG Abhishek Singh says, "I don't know how you define a leak. But I will call it something which has happened, which has violated the 100% integrity of the examination and our commitment to a zero-error examination. Insofar as the typical, traditional way of leak is concerned, no question paper in the form of a complete question paper has leaked anywhere. What has happened is that a guess paper in the form of a PDF was circulating on WhatsApp, and it had a few questions which were matching with the questions which were asked. When we verified whether this was in circulation before 3rd May, it was found that some of it was. So, given that a few questions were available to some people before the examination, it makes it unfair for the 22.79 lakh students who were preparing for this examination with their hardwork. So, because of that act of a few anti-social elements, we could not have compromised the interest of the honest students. So, we took this tough call of cancelling this examination and ordering a CBI inquiry."

RM talked about Jungkook's contribution to "Hooligan" 🐨: So, Jungkook and Hobi spent a lot of time working closely together. It probably came out of Jungkook and Hobi's room. And as you know, I don't know why Jungkook suddenly brought up the keyword 'Hooligan,' but anyway, Jungkook wrote this part with (watch this watch this beat going hooligan), and from there, he talked through it with the local songwriters to flesh it out. Then I also made some minor revisions, and after many people revised it, it came out like this. 🐨: For this, a person named El Guincho, who works a lot with Rosalía, collaborated with me for over ten days, and there were so many really interesting tracks. There were many tracks like one that started with the sound of knives slashing, a motorcycle sound, or a Game Boy sound, but this song probably came out of Hobi or Jungkook’s room about a month into it. 🐨: To that extent, Hobi and Jungkook really did a huge job. From the moment we heard the rough sounds with the people who were there, the track itself was just so good. And because the keyword 'Hooligan' stood out so strongly, it felt really great. 🐨: Originally, there was this choreography that was really intense, the kind they used to dance, and Taehyang also danced it. There was this kind of choreography. But after listening to opinions from the company's ideas and various people, we changed it to this one to try and make it a challenge and gain mainstream popularity (viral success). 🐨: But as expected, a challenge isn't something that just succeeds because you force it. In the end, that other choreography created by one of our fans, you know, the one with the hip-thrusting/pelvis popping? That one became the viral challenge, and everyone ended up doing that challenge. It showed us that what we try to make happen doesn't easily catch on, and it didn't become a challenge at all. So I realized, 'Ah, this really isn't something that happens just because you try to push it.' 🐨But anyway, it was great because so many people did 'Hooligan'.
