Yes because not a single Sonic game released between Sonic 3 in 1994 and Sonic Adventure in 1998. Absolutely nothing happened in that time.

Tbf, I kinda see this as factual now. It took him a while for him to get a fully 3D platformer, but he was able to aced it on his first try when Adventure came out. Plus, these games aren’t that bad or bad at all. There very charming for what their trying to accomplish.

Sonic doesn't have a rough transition to 3D. Sega had a rough transition to Mega Drive,Saturn, and Dreamcast

Sonic Adventure is amazing. But it wasn't Sonic's first 3D game. Sonic did struggle transitioning to 3D
