Perhaps not individually, but guarantee they're gauging public reception and anger right now. They've reversed course on decisions in the past, from PC PSN sign in, HFW upgrade cost, GT7 economy and so on. This is much bigger and more serious. Let's see what comes of it.

@ErikInCt_ True but those were things that had little downside to reversing. If Sony already started process, a reversal could be very expensive

@ErikInCt_ This is such a long way off, likely intentionally, I'm sure there's still wiggle room. In-fact they were likely planning to assess the response either way. Reckon they've timed it to slot right before Xbox layoffs and closure news too.

@MichaelShourd Exactly, and being 17 months off, you don't start winding down processes. That would happen in a year, or more. Obviously, they wanted a reaction. The sad thing is it was mostly from rage-bait engagement farmers. Mostly, not all.
