I myself have written to Rajnath Singh ji and also given suggestions on how this can be done while respecting environmental laws and tribal laws. We have the issue of coal mining in rich forest areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. We have the problem of the unpredictability of the monsoon, which is attributable to climate change. We have the problem of heat stress and the issue of the Aravalli Hills. We have to balance environmental concerns with growth imperatives. We need faster economic growth and higher GDP growth. But in the name of ease of doing business, the Modi government is basically knocking down environmental laws, knocking out all environmental regulations, and weakening environmental standards. Pollution is no longer just an environmental issue; it is fundamentally related to public health issues. Those are the concerns that need to be addressed. : Congress General Secretary (Communications) Shri Jairam Ramesh

Today at Kasarani Sports View Road, we arrested several individuals who had illegally blocked the road and set up a sorting centre right in the middle of it, obstructing one side of the road. Residents had persistently raised complaints, and today we found the offenders in the act, engaging in this unlawful activity. Nairobi County is committed to restoring environmental order and ensuring strict adherence to environmental guidelines.
