South Carolina has a serious problem: magistrates handing down sentences without even having a law degree. Pedophiles getting less than a day in jail. Rapists walking free. Murderers with no consequences. This isn't justice, it's a broken system failing victims every single day. As Governor, I'll require legal expertise on the bench and ensure criminals face real consequences. South Carolina's families deserve a justice system that actually works. Victims deserve better. Our state deserves better.

Brittany is a strong mom fighting to protect our children from predators, since our justice system won’t. Travis Reed Gaye pleaded guilty to possessing video of an infant being sexually abused. He should have been sent to prison for 70 years. Instead, he got probation, violated his probation, and was released back onto our streets THE SAME DAY he was arrested. Let this sink in: was facing 70 years behind bars, and he walked free in hours. He’s now back at home in a neighborhood full of young children. Like Brittany said, this isn’t political, this is about protecting our kids. And under South Carolina’s Attorney General, our state has become a SAFE HAVEN for pedophiles.
