To know whether you're actually doing mobility training, remember this: Mobility = Strength × Motor Control × Flexibility The 90/90 hip switch is one of the best exercises for building hip mobility. I especially like pairing it after a flexibility exercise for the hips.

NBA teams often ask me about hip mobility before they ask about strength numbers when evaluating NBA prospects. If you’re a young hooper make sure you prioritize mobility / flexibility in your training program. In return you’ll feel better, move better, and play better.

Mobility work doesn’t always look exciting, but your body notices it. Move better through the hips, control your range and everything else in training starts feeling a bit smoother.
