🚀🇫🇷🇸🇪 France is offering Sweden a major long-range strike upgrade, with MdCN cruise missiles included in a proposed $5.1 billion package centered on four Naval Group frigates. The offer would mark the first export of the MdCN cruise missile to Sweden. With a reported range of roughly 1,000 to 1,400 kilometers, the weapon would give Stockholm a powerful sea-launched deep-strike capability. Sweden only began fielding a dedicated land-attack cruise-missile capability in 2025 with the adoption of the air-launched Taurus KEPD 350, which has a range exceeding 500 kilometers. If the deal goes through, Sweden’s deterrence posture would change significantly. Pairing modern frigates with long-range land-attack missiles would allow Stockholm to threaten strategic targets far beyond the Baltic coastline, adding another serious deep-strike layer to NATO’s northern flank and making the region increasingly hostile to any adversary planning to operate close to Swedish waters. BIG | 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇺🇦🚀‼️‼️ Britain and France are discussing the creation of local SCALP/Storm Shadow cruise-missile production lines in Ukraine, a move that could significantly expand Kyiv’s long-range strike capacity. British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed establishing production of the long-range missiles inside Ukraine. The British government said the program would use UK technology, while Burnham stated that London has formally approved the transfer of Storm Shadow production technology to Ukraine. If implemented, this would be a major shift from supplying finished missiles to helping Ukraine build them domestically. Local production would reduce dependence on limited foreign inventories, shorten supply chains and give Kyiv a more sustainable long-range strike capability against Russian military infrastructure over the course of a prolonged war. ❗️ Russia has struck Ukraine with a Banderol drone-missile for the first time, — RBC-Ukraine. Due to its higher speed, the target is much harder to shoot down, and the range of this weapon is 500 km. The deployment of the new Banderol drone-missile represents a notable upgrade in Russia’s long-range strike capabilities. Its increased speed makes interception significantly more difficult for Ukrainian air defenses. This development underscores the ongoing technological arms race in the conflict and the need for Ukraine to further strengthen its layered air defense systems.

Great Britain will provide Ukraine with long-range missiles to intercept Russian ballistic missiles and other projectiles before they are even launched—according to British Prime Minister Andy Burnham. We will work together to provide you with the necessary support. This is not just about air defense, but about stopping Russia before it can even fire its missiles: through sanctions that disrupt supply chains for military equipment; through the use of long-range missiles prior to enemy missile launches; and through support for the development of new technologies and deepened industrial cooperation. Germany? Taurus???

#WATCH | ANI National Security Summit 2.0: DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat says, "For short-range ballistic missiles, the Pralay is now in the final stages of testing. With respect to hypersonic, we are working on two programs, the hypersonic glide missile and the hypersonic cruise missiles. The glide missile will come out first. We should be doing the first trials fairly soon. And that is at a more advanced stage than the cruise missile. The cruise missile program has not yet been sanctioned, although we are working on the various technologies which will get into the cruise missile..." "For short-range ballistic missiles, the Pralay is now in the final stages of testing and should be ready. Then we have some of our strategic missiles, which can be converted to tactical usage for the medium range and the long range. With respect to hypersonic, we are working on two programs, the hypersonic glide missile and the hypersonic cruise missiles. The hypersonic cruise missiles is one which has a scramjet engine and it is powered during its flight. The hypersonic glide missile is a missile which uses a booster to give it initial velocity, and then it just glides without any powering. The glide missile will come out first. We should be doing the first trials fairly soon. And that is at a more advanced stage than the cruise missile. The cruise missile program has not yet been sanctioned, although we are working on the various technologies which will get into the cruise missile. Recently, we have done a scramjet propulsion for more than 1,000 seconds. So that's been a major achievement, and once the program is sanctioned, we'll convert the scramjet propulsion into a working missile system. And I think that should take about five years after the sanction."

‼️🇩🇪🇳🇴 BIG | Germany is preparing for a potential war with Russia and is, therefore, prioritizing the development of long-range strike capabilities, which will be essential for launching attacks deep within Russian territory. For this very reason, Germany has signed a new contract with the Norwegian company Kongsberg to acquire additional JSM (Joint Strike Missile) cruise missiles for its F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters. The deal is valued at approximately €300 million and is being executed under a joint Norway-Germany program, with Norway acting as the lead contract operator. For the Bundeswehr, this is one of the primary long-range missiles for the F-35, as the JSM was originally designed specifically for the aircraft's internal weapons bays. This allows the fighter to maintain its stealth profile even while executing strike missions. The JSM was developed based on the NSM (Naval Strike Missile) anti-ship missile but was later adapted to destroy both naval and land-based targets. The missile has a total mass of around 400 kilograms, and its operational range varies from over 350 kilometers to approximately 560 kilometers, depending on the flight profile.

A Chinese PL-15 beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile reportedly fell in a Pakistani field without exploding, giving India an unusual opportunity to examine the weapon. The PL-15 is designed to engage aircraft at long distances using radar-guided BVR technology—allowing fighters to attack targets before entering visual range. But India is developing its own long-range answer. The Astra Mk-1 is already integrated with the Su-30MKI and forms part of India’s indigenous BVR missile capability. The next major step is the reported Astra Mk-3, also known as Gandiv, which is expected to use ramjet propulsion for sustained high-speed flight and greater range. If development and testing proceed as projected, Gandiv could eventually give Indian fighters a dramatically longer BVR reach, with reported range figures extending toward 340 km. The bigger story isn't simply missile range—it is India moving from importing air-combat weapons toward developing increasingly advanced, indigenous systems for its own fighters. #india #Pakistan #China #pl15missile #missiles #MissileStrike

BIG | 🇩🇪🇺🇦‼️‼️ Germany has begun producing more than 5,000 long-range strike drones for Ukraine, significantly expanding Kyiv’s future deep-strike capacity against targets far behind Russian lines. One of the drone models reportedly has a range of up to 1,500 kilometers and is equipped with an AI-based autonomous targeting system designed to remain effective under Russian electronic-warfare pressure. The production program is intended to give Ukraine a large stock of long-range systems capable of operating even in heavily contested electromagnetic environments. The scale is what makes this important. Thousands of long-range autonomous strike drones could allow Ukraine to sustain pressure on Russian military, logistics and energy infrastructure over a prolonged period rather than rely on occasional deep strikes. Combined with growing European production, this could gradually turn Ukraine’s long-range campaign into a much more persistent strategic threat for Russia’s rear. Macron says Europe must develop its own intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) like Russia’s Oreshnik or comparable long-range strike weapons. Macron says Russia’s recent Oreshnik strike on Lviv is a "clear signal" and a demonstration that Europe is within range. He stressed the need to accelerate efforts under the existing European Long-Range Strike Approach (ELSA) initiative, which was launched in 2024 by France, Germany, Poland, and later joined the UK, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands. Macron argues that developing these capabilities collectively will enhance Europe's credibility, strengthen nuclear deterrence and respond to the shifting balance from Russia's recent deployment of both nuclear weapons and Oreshniks in Belarus. Macron argues that while it’s necessary to pool resources for European long-range systems rivalling the Oreshnik, France is capable to providing key technologies for the project through the know-how it has acquired by fielding S2/S3 IRBMs until 1996 and developing its own submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs) since the 1960s. The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, bilateral U.S.-Soviet agreement that banned all ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges of 500–5,500 km in Europe, was in place between 1987 and 2019. European NATO members (and the U.S. for its European deployments) adhered to this, avoiding new IRBM development or deployment. The treaty collapsed when the U.S. withdrew in 2019 in response to Russia not adhering to the treaty by developing IRBMs and cruise missiles with 1000 km such as 9M729. Macron has now made it clear that Europe’s mission to speed up its own IRBM and long-range cruise missiles must be sped up significantly. It remains to be seen whether Europe will heed his advice

🚨🇺🇸 Lockheed Martin is developing a lower-cost Patriot interceptor to counter the growing drone threat. The new PAC-3 ACE missile is designed to provide much of the combat capability of the PAC-3 MSE at a significantly lower price. According to available information, the PAC-3 ACE will be capable of intercepting drones, cruise missiles, and short-range ballistic missiles, while delivering around two-thirds of the combat effectiveness of the PAC-3 MSE. The missile is expected to cost between $1.6 million and $2.7 million, compared with $4 million to $5.3 million for the current PAC-3 MSE interceptor. The existing PAC-3 MSE remains one of the world's most advanced air-defense missiles, designed to destroy long-range ballistic missiles and, according to its manufacturer, capable of engaging certain hypersonic threats. As demand for Patriot interceptors continues to surge, the U.S. government has also asked Lockheed Martin to triple production of the PAC-3 MSE, reflecting the growing need to replenish missile stockpiles while preparing for future high-intensity conflicts.
