Although sustainable immigration has always been an important part of Alberta’s history as a province, the immigration policies of the federal government over the last five years have put tremendous pressure on classrooms, emergency rooms and social support systems. These referendum questions will seek direction from Albertans on how the province should adjust provincial policies to ensure our social services remain accessible and sustainable for Albertans.

When a motion for the removal of the Speaker is taken up, Article 96 makes it very clear that the Speaker cannot sit in the Chair. The actions of the Speaker also cannot be admitted at that point of time. You (Jagdambika Pal) have been appointed by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. You are sitting there as a member of the panel of chairpersons appointed by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Article 93 states: “The House of the People shall, as soon as may be, choose two members of the House to be respectively Speaker and Deputy Speaker thereof and, so often as the office of the Speaker or Deputy Speaker becomes vacant, the House shall choose another member to be Speaker or Deputy Speaker, as the case may be.” Immediately after the election, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker are supposed to be elected. For the last seven years, you have not elected a Deputy Speaker. You have created a constitutional vacuum. This question is very clear. Article 96 is very clear. 👉The House has to select a person to sit in the Chair. : Congress General Secretary (Org.) K C Venugopal ji in Lok Sabha

For the past 10 years this federal Liberal government has introduced policies that have slowed down Alberta’s economy, prevented pipeline projects and undermined our province. I believe in a strong Alberta within a united Canada. In the coming months, with my new role as referendum lead, I will listen to the concerns of Albertans and ensure that we can address the root causes of western alienation and fight for a stronger Alberta within a united Canada. I am proud to be an Albertan and a Canadian. I will continue to call on Mark Carney’s Liberal Government to listen to Albertans and to take the necessary steps to unite our country and strengthen our province. It’s time to act.

I just concluded a formal meeting with the United States Capitol Police regarding Representative Jasmine Crockett’s attack on me. The USCP officers were courteous and supportive throughout the discussion. The decision to pursue charges against Representative Crockett now rests with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. This matter extends beyond a personal dispute between Representative Crockett and myself. It concerns the protection of free speech within the Capitol, as the loss of free speech there would jeopardize its preservation across America. Thank you all for your continued support.
