Standing in my hometown. Canyon, Texas. Back when this place was still called Canyon City, these rails were already moving the heartbeat of cattle country. Look right behind me. These same tracks run straight through Hereford, Texas — what a lot of people call the beef capital of the...

UPDATE On Damage Caused By The Texas Fires - Cattle feed & Feed Lots burned - No water the ranchers use for their cattle - No grass, prairie land for the cattle to graze is gone - 120 Miles of power lines down/ no grid Seems The Entire Beef Cattle Industry Just Got Wiped Out Many cattle’s hooves have been burned and many more will need to be put down, what an amazing “coincidence” this happened to the beef industry… What Are The Odds! “Breaking news out of Texas. Uh, we just received an update from our Texas agricultural commissioner, Sid Miller, and I'm gonna play that video, uh, right after this. But a few things that I just took away that are very, very, very important for folks to understand across the country. Now this fire in Texas is now the largest in Texas state history, and we knew that, uh, about 3 days ago when that hit over a million acres. They're now at a million and a half acres. They have a 120 miles of power lines down. So the grid up in that part of the country is completely down right now. No grid, no water. Uh, the majority of these farmers and ranchers depend on well water, and, additionally, uh, there's no grass. There's no prairie land up there for, uh, the cattle to graze on, and there's been a bunch of feed and feedlots that have burned out too. The largest fire we've ever had in Texas is the largest fire we've ever had in the United States. It's almost at 2,000 square miles, uh, a 1,000,000 and a half half acres. Uh, preliminary reports, 3,000 head of cattle. That number would triple or quadruple before it's over, especially when we start euthanizing the cattle that have, uh, had their hooves burnt or their other others burnt. We're gonna have to, you know, put a lot of these animals down. It's a sad situation. Uh, we've had over 500 houses and barns destroyed, and that number content continues to climb. We've had 2 fatalities. Thank goodness it's only 2. Uh, but we also have 5 firefighters that have had been injured. Uh, we've got over a 120 miles, Sandra, of power lines that are down. Now this country is sparsely populated and very arid, so there's not a lot of stock water. Most of the water comes from wells. So not only is this livestock out of grass, but there's also no water. So it's a very desperate situation.”

NO DEBT, NO PERMISSION— JUST BEEF AND BELIEF. We didn’t go to El Salvador to “expand.” We went because they opened a gate we hadn’t seen in decades— A sovereign nation asking for heritage, not hype. For cattle, not contracts. For education, not empire. This isn’t a pivot away from the American rancher. This started with American ranchers: From the Harvest of Deception to Canyon, Texas to the plains of Kansas. From beefbeesbitcoin to Justin Trammel Tir Bluen to Cole Bolton Cole@K&C Cattle — We built the Beef Initiative by walking away from the system together. What we’re doing now is proof of work on an international stage. And not because it’s flashy. Because it’s needed. 40% of U.S. beef still runs through independent hands— but we lose 67 producers a day to a silent war no one’s talking about. Not just land loss. Not just price collapse. A war on value. On sovereignty. On knowing where your food comes from. El Salvador didn’t blink. They invited us in to restore cattle genetics, build open-source infrastructure, and plant food systems that don’t bow to western debt. This is about microbiomes, not monopolies. This is peer-to-peer beef, not blockchain buzzwords. This is a handshake, not a hedge fund. We’re going back to the source of the seed. Back to dirt roads and family names and cattle that never needed permission to feed a community. If you’re asking what this has to do with the U.S. rancher, you’re asking the wrong question. This is the new cattle drive. This is the decentralized future. And we’ve got the dirt, the data, and the courage to prove it. The next question is— Are you coming with us? The Significance Behind The Texas Fires - This Is Another Blow To Our Supply Chain - Where The Fires Happened Is Where 88% Of Texas Cattle Feed - The US Is Already Down Roughly 1 Billion Pounds Of American Beef - These Fires Are Another Win For Foreign Imports Is it another “coincidence” that this specific location is on fire while globalist initiatives are trying to push everyone away beef in the United States? You decide. “By now you guys have heard about the fires going on in Texas. Over half a million acres have burned so far. What a tragedy and misfortune for the families that are ranching there. A lot of people don't understand that that's one more hit to our nation's food supply chain. We are already in a very vulnerable position. And the lowest cattle numbers we've seen since 1950. We're down like a billion pounds in beef in the country, which means they're gonna have to import more, which doesn't help the local producers, which continues to weaken our food supply chain. We're not even into summer yet and dealing with whatever droughts may show up now. So here's what you can do. Find your local farmers and ranchers and have their back. Make sure that they know they're growing their food or raising their food for somebody in America that cares. What we can do is change the way we source our food, leave the existing grocery supply chain where they get the retail dollar and go to our farmers and ranchers, shake their hand and make sure they get the retail dollar. That's how we can secure our food supply chain and also end up making it better for not just the producers, but our families and our environment.”

Today I sat down with Jordan Levi, the Kosher Cowboy - a Jewish kid from the Chicago suburbs who became the largest cattle feeder in America. Jordan runs Five Rivers Cattle Feeding with a capacity of nearly a million head. He started as a runner on the Chicago Board of Trade at 13 and found his way to cattle through a hedge fund that sent him to a feedlot in Amarillo. He showed up in Gucci loafers and never left the industry. We go deep on how he trades the curve instead of making binary bets, why the cattle supply is the tightest since the 1950s, and what it takes to manage risk on nearly a million animals across 13 feedlots. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. 02:16 - The Belted Galloway 03:51 - The Kosher Cowboy 08:05 - Pulling value of the futures forward 11:43 - Learning Cattle trading 16:48 - Daily average gain in cattle 18:20 - Jordan’s Eureka moment in the cattle industry 21:08 - What does trading in animals actually look like? 27:05 - How Jordan defines his ROI in trading cattle 31:17 - The Cattle curve 33:37 - The state of the cattle market 42:10 - Buying the largest cattle feeder in the world 46:09 - Grass vs. grain fed cattle 49:15 - Predictions for the cattle supply over the next 10 years 50:54 - The international market 53:17 - Trading frequencies and macro thesis 01:00:27 - USA beef vs. international beef 01:05:21 - The cattle supply chain 01:07:32 - The future of auction yards and ranchers 01:09:40 - AI in AgTech 01:12:52 - The biggest problem facing the industry 01:14:42 - Livestock as a commodity that dies and how that impacts trading theory 01:20:51 - Is there a market for new entrants into cattle? 01:21:41 - Beef prices and the impact of a closed border on the industry 01:24:39 - Jordan’s biggest ideas for the industry 01:26:49 - Philanthropic efforts 01:31:24 - a day in the life of Jordan 01:26:42 - Risk management in cattle 01:41:17 - Does what you do show a leading indicator to the broader health of the American economy?

What if the government told your family ranch you owed $3.7 million… for a pond your cattle have been drinking from for decades? That’s exactly what’s happening to a fourth-generation ranch family in Washington State. Wade and Teresa King have been running cattle on their land for generations. Like thousands of ranchers across the West, they built small stock ponds so their cattle have water in dry country. Now the Washington State Department of Ecology says those ponds aren’t ponds. They say they’re illegal wetlands. The state has already issued the ranch a $267,540 fine and claims the family may have to spend over $3.7 million restoring the land. On top of that, the Washington Department of Natural Resources terminated grazing leases the ranch had held for around 60 years, removing nearly 15,000 acres of grazing land their operation depended on. The King family says these are man-made cattle ponds, something ranchers across the West have built and maintained for generations. The state says they damaged rare wetlands. Now the fight isn’t just about ponds. It’s about property rights, agriculture, and whether ranchers have the right to defend themselves in front of a jury instead of a government administrative court. If the state wins, this case could affect thousands of ranches across the western United States that rely on stock ponds to water cattle. This isn’t just one ranch’s fight. It could shape the future of American ranching. If you believe American ranchers deserve truth, trust, and transparency in the food system, help us rebuild a producer-led beef supply chain. Visit to learn how ranchers are working together to bring transparency and fair markets back to American agriculture. Because the fight for American land, American ranchers, and American food is just getting started. ⸻ #Ranching #PropertyRights #AmericanRancherAlliance #AgNews #FoodSystem #FarmLife #TruthInFarming #CattleCountry #AgTok #FarmNews
