Starship Is The Largest And Most Powerful Space Transportation System Ever Built Standing over 400 feet (123m) tall with a 9m diameter, it is as Elon Musk stated “the largest flying object by far ever made.” Its current configuration delivers ~72 MN of liftoff thrust, already double the Saturn... I think maybe even to 10 million tons per year These are mind-boggling numbers. I'd say it's highly likely we do over a million tons a year to orbit with Starship, and probably close to 10 million. But that's the kind of tonnage you need in order to build a civilization on the Moon, Mars and beyond. If you can't deliver millions of tons to Earth orbit, you can't get the millions of tons that you need to the Moon and Mars to make us a sustainably multi-planet species. It's arguably the hardest thing humanity has ever tried to do”
