@COP28_UAE 🙏 Sadly #globalsouth will suffer whatever decision at COP28. Decision & small @LossandDamage fund not enough to mitigate impacts. Causing #fossilfuels asset redundancy without funding spells gloom for many economies. Importantly carbon intense economies alone aren't the problem.

@COP28_UAE This whole thing is a joke and reducing production will just elevate the prices and result in economic crises. Commitment should be in reducing consumption by starting to use other sources. If the large consumers. US, EU, China, India started cutting use prod would follow

On the occasion of #COP28, I was delighted to join the Reception on Building Partnerships to Deliver Climate Action in Cities, co-hosted by The King's Foundation and Community Jameel at the Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai. Gathered with leaders working to build a collaborative response to climate action in cities, in the Commonwealth and beyond, the event resonated with inspiring objectives shared by Kris Murrin, CEO of The King's Foundation, and George Richards, Director of Community Jameel.
