Over the past 14 years, Bengal’s healthcare sector has undergone a historic transformation. Today, I had the privilege of inaugurating 110 fully-equipped Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) that will take advanced healthcare services to the remotest corners of our state. Each unit, staffed with doctors, nurses, and technicians, is a self-contained mobile clinic designed to deliver free diagnosis, consultation, and treatment right to people’s doorsteps. These MMUs mark yet another milestone in our Government’s journey to ensure “Health for All”. With 210 such units being rolled out, we are reaffirming our commitment to a Bengal where no one is denied medical care because of distance, poverty, or circumstance. Since 2011, our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar has redefined the meaning of public healthcare, introducing Swasthya Sathi, Swasthya Ingit, Chokher Alo, Shishu Sathi, Matri Ma, Madhur Sneha, and many more people-centric initiatives. From 14 new medical colleges and 42 super-speciality hospitals to over 13,500 su-swasthya kendras and free treatment facilities, Bengal’s healthcare network today touches millions of lives every single day. We have reduced infant and maternal mortality rates to record lows, expanded infrastructure, trained thousands of new nurses and doctors, and ensured that quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege. And so, when that expansion happened and immigrants who are here, undocumented immigrants that are here were able to get insurance, all of a sudden, you then had this new kind of revenue stream that came in not only to the hospitals but now to all these doctors and providers in California. — California will be a catastrophe because you'll have all of these individuals now that are not documented with no health insurance. So, all of the providers that were making money off of this kind of, like, new economics in California are- are now not gonna be making any money. And instead, these individuals that are undocumented are gonna have to go to the hospital for treatment, and that's going to, instead of make the hospital money because they're covered by Medicaid, it's going to create a situation where now the hospitals are losing millions of dollars. Health, Education, and pulling people out of poverty remain the three most important measures of development of any nation. That is why my support for these critical areas continues to remain a priority. Today, Friday 9th May, I visited a healthcare facility established and managed by the Church of Nigeria, the Anglican Diocese of Kubwa. After inspecting the facility, I thanked the proprietor and his team for the good work they are doing in helping to ease the burden of our struggling healthcare system, especially for maintaining such a neat and conducive environment for patients. In support of their efforts, I made a token donation of 10 million naira. I encouraged them to remain committed to their service to humanity and also assured them of my continued support for the hospital, healthcare workers, and the healthcare system in general. Nobody should have to travel miles just to see a doctor. For too long, many communities have lived with that frustration, where basic healthcare felt out of reach. We are changing that by building 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHC) across Enugu, ensuring every ward has a modern health facility close to home, FREE OF CHARGE for our people, and supported by a digital system that keeps patient records safe and accessible. Each centre will run with 24-hour solar power and running water, with 3,380 beds across the state, at least 13 per facility. To support our frontline workers, 2-bedroom apartments are being built at every PHC, because when healthcare workers are well supported, patients receive better care. The goal is to have everything operational by the end of May. Ndi Enugu, we are closing the gap in healthcare accessibility. Tomorrow is here.

⭕️A Doctor’s Testimony from Iran, Recorded One Week After the Internet Shutdown and the Issuance of Kill Orders: Video translation: Greetings to the honourable people of Iran. My name is Dr Yaser Rahmani-Rad. I am a resident in Internal Medicine. As I explained in my previous video, which I uploaded to Instagram before the internet shutdown, I raised several key points. I stated that attacks on hospitals, attacks on medical centres, attacks on protesters and injured individuals receiving treatment in hospitals, and the abduction of those patients are, according to medical conventions and conventions governing the conduct of medical services during conflict, equivalent to crimes against humanity and war crimes. This is exactly what we are witnessing in Iran at present. During this past week, in which the internet has been almost entirely cut off, the reports provided to me by my team and the figures we have received regarding those killed are far, far higher than what you might imagine. Our initial estimate placed the number somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000 people. After that initial assessment, we effectively lost nationwide communication. As I mentioned before, I have a response team, but unfortunately, due to the internet shutdown, our communications were severely disrupted, and we were unable to provide assistance in the way that was needed. Nevertheless, within our limited capacity and through individuals who had previously saved our contact details, we attempted to help as much as possible via phone calls and whatever means were available to us. However, the situation has now worsened because security forces have taken control of hospitals. Every injured person who enters a hospital is identified and registered, and after being discharged, they are tracked using hospital CCTV footage, which is under the control of security forces. These individuals are then arrested at their homes. As they themselves have acknowledged, this constitutes both a war crime and a crime against humanity. The second issue is that by cutting off the internet, medical and emergency assistance to many protesters has been halted entirely. In numerous cases, even with the limited telephone communications we still have, we have tried to assist protesters to the best of our ability, but we have faced extremely serious obstacles. For example, one of our mobile emergency response teams was attacked. All of their equipment was confiscated in Tehran by plainclothes security forces and Basij units. This has significantly reduced our level of preparedness. Even our medical supplies, including antibiotics and other treatment equipment, were seized. This has occurred in at least two documented cases: one in Tehran and one in Shiraz. I want to emphasise once again that hospitals are under the control of security forces. I will try to speak calmly, but in closing I must repeat this clearly: hospitals are unfortunately under security control, and this is one of our most serious challenges. Injured protesters are afraid to go to hospitals due to the risk of arrest, especially public hospitals. However, private hospitals are not safe either; they are also under pressure, and many private hospitals have likewise been taken over by security forces. We have access to only a very limited number of private hospitals, and only for absolutely emergency cases where immediate intervention is required. Even so, the scale of repression being carried out is vastly greater than the medical assistance that people like myself are able to provide. Our capacity is extremely limited. Finally, I want to address the security forces directly. History moves forward. These days will also pass. You were meant to be accountable to the people of Iran, yet you failed in that responsibility. Not only did you fail, but you consciously acted in direct opposition to your duty. We visited the scene of the explosion which occurred at about 7.44 pm yesterday, 16 January 2024 in Bodija, Ibadan. This unfortunate incident resulted in death and injury to residents in the vicinity and also affected properties. We have already deployed first responders and all relevant agencies within Oyo State to carry out comprehensive search and rescue operations. These operations will continue throughout the night. Earth moving equipment, ambulances, emergency lights, and security were deployed to the scene of the incident. The wounded and injured are being treated and moved to public and private hospitals within Ibadan. Medical personnel are on standby at these hospitals to provide all needed assistance to the injured. We have visited UCH to see some of those injured during the incident. In total, we have 77 injured victims so far, most of whom were treated and discharged and 2 fatalities. May their souls rest in peace and may God give their loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. I have directed that the medical bills of all victims be covered by the government. We will also be providing temporary accommodation for those whose houses were affected and ensuring that they are supported to rebuild their lives. Preliminary investigations by the security agencies revealed that illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija had stored explosive devices there which caused the blast. The investigations are ongoing. All those found culpable for this will be brought to book. I urge all residents to please call 615 for any emergencies they may be experiencing at this time and to remain calm and stay away from the immediate scene of the incident to allow rescue operations to be carried out without interference. We are grateful to the first responders, security personnel and all those who are at the scene to assist with the rescue operations as well as the medical personnel taking care of the injured. Please say a prayer for those who have been affected by this disaster as we continue with the rescue operations.

Today, I held a Staff meeting where we had in-depth discussions about the use of air defense systems and the protection of our cities and communities. Steps were identified to make the use of the systems we already have more effective. We are also working on securing additional protection for Ukraine. We are very much counting on the "Patriot" system that Romania is preparing to provide, and I will be grateful to Romania for this crucial support. This is something that will truly help our people, our country, and our entire region. We continue to work with all our partners to secure stronger support for our defense—especially long-range solutions that could destroy a significant portion of Russian ballistic missiles before they even launch. This is one of the key issues of this war. The issue of our long-range capabilities and the necessary approvals from our partners, as well as the long-range shells and missiles we could use, is critical. Russian strikes will become impossible if we have the ability to destroy the occupier's launch sites, military airfields, and logistics hubs where they are located. Granting Ukraine these approvals and providing us with this weaponry would be the biggest step toward a real, just end to this war. Russia simply doesn't know how to fight without terror—terrorist strikes and their ability to create destruction have replaced tactics and strategy for the Russian leadership in this war.

I know the person who caused the decay. The person whose wife stole the whole of Natpham masquerading as a health ambassador is the one responsible for the decay we see today. The orchestrator of Draxgate, who is in state house today around the president, is hugely to blame for the collapse of our Healthcare system. She, and her accomplices are responsible for the sudden drying up of medicines in government and former mission hospitals. The running of Mission hospitals was taken over by the cartel. Natpham, as we speak today, is only supplying donated condoms and family planning tablets to government and former mission hospitals. Our hospitals are now involved in a very sad population reduction matrix in which they're central to ensuring that every person admitted to these centres dies and that no new babies are born, hence the central role in distribution of contraceptives. There hasn't been any deliveries of any kind of sensible medication throughout all the government hospitals for the past 8 months, only donated family planning tablets and condoms. No bandages, no painkillers, nothing! Our population as a country is going to go down drastically in the next 5 years through deaths that aren't matched with our procreation rate. The situation is made worse by the drug scourge being facilitated by the same cartel. Our youngsters are too drugged to procreate. It's a national disaster! That's the work of the Draxgate kingpins. They're looting the telecommunications health tax, the sugar tax and all other taxes collected every month in the name of Healthcare. There is no investment towards the health of the nation. They pocket $50 000 a day from one roadside ambulance. That's a cool $1.5 million per month from just one ambulance parked along highways to wait for accidents to happen. The irony is that the $50k a day ambulances are waiting to pick up accident victims to hospitals without even bandages. The victims bleed to death in a $50k hired ambulance. Some die as soon as they get to these hospitals crying out for painkillers. I know the people who have killed the Healthcare system in my country. They're criminals surrounding the President, right from his bedroom to his private office in Borrowdale. I am not as naive as you are. I won't blame a Vice President for non-delivery of a government with an executive President. ED is responsible for all the collapse we see in our health delivery system, in our education and in the economy.
