Prime central London continues to feel the squeeze. The abandonment of international buyers has resulted in significant falls in the prime central London market. According to LonRes research of Q1 2026, the biggest discounted borough in the Capital was in South Kensington at -16% closely followed by Chelsea who also experienced the biggest percentage of price reductions at 56.8%. The areas where properties continued to languish were Mayfair and St James with 80.3% of its properties sitting on the market for over three months despite an average discount of 12.7%. The borough however with the most significant falls in price was Marylebone, down 17.6% annually, closely followed by South Kensington with 15.9% falls.

GERMANY MOVES TO KILL ITS BITCOIN TAX HAVEN Germany's Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil has finalized a plan to abolish the country's one-year tax-free crypto holding exemption from 2027, ending one of Europe's most generous long-term holding regimes. Under current rules, German investors who hold bitcoin:native or other crypto for more than 12 months pay zero tax on disposal. Under Klingbeil's plan, gains would be taxed at the standard 25% capital gains rate plus a solidarity surcharge, regardless of holding period, treating crypto like stocks. The change is embedded in the 2027 federal budget, targeting €2 billion in new annual revenue and a €98 billion deficit. It's the fourth attempt to scrap the exemption in 18 months. Constitutional scholars have flagged that taxing crypto more strictly than other private assets could fail Germany's equal-protection principle, opening a likely legal challenge.

Yesterday’s video was flagged so it’s coming down. We’ll see what impact that has on this one. Yesterday I laid in bed most of the day and tried to eat more. Over the weekend I’m down 2 pounds which is pretty normal for me. Hopefully this week I can put the weight back on. I don’t want to dirty bulk but I might have to in order to get to the weight I want.
