Stephen is mad at God for all the bad stuff. Okay. Who does he appreciate for all the good stuff?

Bad things happening in a FALLEN world in no way is proof that God does not exist. Quite the contrary. If suffering and trials and wars and disease did not exist, then we would have no frame reference of why God is good. If you have no idea what bad or evil is, how would you know what’s good? If everything was good and nothing was bad, how would anyone know it? This idea goes deeper still to the crux of Love and free will.

It is a great gift to struggle. This world is not Gods domain it’s ours and satan run rampant. God wants us to find him. If we were born perfect and without freewill there would be no point. Free will is gods gift to us.

Stephen Fry’s argument fell apart in his first sentence saying there is no God because kids get cancer. Cause & effect is a universal law. So the kids didn’t get cancer by chance. It was likely due to their family genetics or food their parents gave them regularly. There’s always a reason. It doesn’t prove there is no God.

Terrible argument. Fry forgets paradise existed before the apple, and fails to understand what happened afterwards
