Legally blind doesn’t mean you see pitch black. He could see very (extremely) poorly, to the point he can’t really function in the world solo and only sees blurs and colors and shapes, and still be able to do all that.

i don’t think he’s literally like blind blind he probably sees everything at an extremely blurry level
