STOP REFFING Players need to continuously work on handling No-Calls. The ability to move on from a No-Call (Or bad call) and use it to lock in even more is something players can’t learn early enough!!

This is exactly why I don’t call fouls during my workouts

As a ref I love hearing this!! I can’t tell you how coaches and players take themselves out of games mentally cuz they try to play, coach AND REF at the same time.

This right here is rarely taught….continue to play the game regardless of a call/no call…

To many parents and especially coaches think they are refs, especially coaching thinking they can coach and ref just boggles me. ANyways kids see adults and coaches complaining about refs so they think they should too.

It’s a great point. When I was coaching I adopted a phrase I heard, “ Next Play “. We spoke it in practice and in games. I confess as a coach I could’ve remembered it more often. But for young players it’s a great way to get them playing

Agreed their coach needs to make that abundantly clear.

No refs exist and foul calls only if blatant.

It's also a shame coaches have to teach something like this.
