After 3 years, the studio I founded Notorious Studios is shipping its first game tomorrow -- Legacy: Steel & Sorcery. It features an innovative 3rd person Action-based combat that blends Soulslike combat with MMORPG-style spells & abilities, rich progression systems, and a "World PvP" core experience (extraction rpg). 2025 has been a wild year for the industry- and for us. We’ve been quiet, because we’ve been hard at work on something that, at the start, many of us didn’t even believe was possible. But now we can finally share it: the ORKEN game trailer is out. After 15 years of supporting videogame developers and publishers with art, ideas, and worldbuilding, we decided to take a leap and start working on our own game – in collaboration with the wonderful people at Demagog Studio (Golf Club: Nostalgia, Highwater, The Cub). No safety nets. No big budgets. Just two small teams combining our skills to see how far we could go with the means we have. The result is ORKEN. A Neanderthal Western built as an independent AA action-RPG, reimagining Orcs vs Humans in a Stone vs Steel setting. It mixes Mass Effect-style storytelling, soulslike combat, and a bold, graphic look inspired by Hi-Fi Rush. It’s been a lot of work, sometimes exhausting, often scary – but we’re genuinely proud of where it landed. ORKEN transmedia IP (books & world) launches on Kickstarter on 26.02. 💙🙏🏽Twenty-six years ago, when we received RJ’s autism diagnosis, the world looked very different. Very few public figures athletes, entertainers, or anyone with a platform, were talking openly about #autism. There was so much fear, stigma, and silence. Even Rodney will tell you he wasn’t sure we should share RJ’s diagnosis. Like so many parents, he worried that a label would define our son. But I believed that if we were willing to tell our story, another family might feel less alone. They might seek support sooner. They might let go of the shame that so many cultures and communities still attach to a diagnosis. That decision changed our lives. So seeing Teoscar and Jennifer share little Teo’s autism journey so openly touched me deeply. It takes tremendous courage to invite the world into such a personal chapter of your family’s life. But moments like this matter. Representation matters. Honesty matters. And every family that chooses to speak up helps another family breathe a little easier.
