🚆🧂 India has launched its first dedicated salt container train from Shivlakha in Gujarat. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also dedicated four new Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals at Bhimasar, Devaliya, Chandisar and Shivlakha, while laying the foundation for another at Linch in Mehsana. The salt train uses specialised containers designed for top-loading and side-unloading, helping move bulk salt more efficiently by rail. The broader goal is bigger than one commodity: bring freight terminals closer to industry, cut logistics costs, shift more cargo to rail and strengthen multimodal connectivity under PM Gati Shakti. Indian Railways had 149 Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals commissioned by August 31, 2026, with the network continuing to expand.

Dear Sir, Please consider doubling the Konkan Railway line. Roughly, Mum to Delhi is around 1,400 km and takes about 15–16 hours, while Mum to Mangaluru is around 1,170 km but can take around 16–18 hours. Despite being significantly shorter, the journey time is almost the same.

Respected Sir, railways is doing great infrastructure work, can we have basic aminities also improved like Clean and Washed Bedrolls, Clean and dry toilets - at least in AC coaches. The so called washed bedrolls are always dirty and uncleaned is my experience of 17411 & 17412
