Every Prufrock that leaves the factory has over 1,000 changes from the one before it. Before it ships, we put it through a full Porpoise Test (PT) in Bastrop — a short test tunnel (typically under 200 rings) that lets both the design team and the test team gather real data on the new designs and on the specific Prufrock serial number. To date, we’ve completed six of these tests and Prufrock 5 is currently 200 rings into PT7. Once complete, the tunnels are put to use: • PT4 is now a vacuum tunnel for Hyperloop testing • PT5 is a live test bench for liner trucks and new belt systems • PT6 is a pedestrian tunnel connecting SpaceX to Hyperloop Plaza With porpoise testing, our engineers get to get hands on and stress-test every one of their designs in real world environments without ever leaving Bastrop. LodgeNet N64 and GameCube controllers working on real Super Nintendo!! Straight wire! 🤯 Ends up that the recently dumped, mysterious SNES dev cart rom with a GameCube controller displayed on screen, is indeed a controller tester rom used to test LodgeNet controllers. I decompiled the rom and discovered that it was bit banging a custom controller protocol over the normal controller’s data and latch pins.

We teamed up with researchers at Meta Reality Labs at Meta to stress-test what's actually possible with Gaussian Splatting, and especially with volumetric video. Reconstructing buildings on a sunny day or celebrities in controlled studio conditions has gained a lot of traction. But what if the goal is to bring the viewer to an actual electronic rave, with zero compromises allowed? High-frequency strobing lights, fog machines filling the space with haze, complete darkness that clips the camera sensors to black. It was brutal, but together we pulled it off. We're proud to present a teaser of our joint project: an actual performance of 'Patience' by NYC electronic duo MEMBA, captured in full volumetric format and optimized for a wide range of devices. We didn't design this reconstruction around what the tech allows. Instead, we customised our pipeline to make the experience as immersive as possible. More details coming soon.

It was being A/B tested on a slice of users, and if you were in the test, you couldn't turn it off. Among the casualties: the official Obama White House account. The method: get on a VPN near the target's region, ask the Meta AI support agent to send a verification code to any email you control, relay that code back to the agent, and it hands over a password reset link. Without ID or human review. From there, the account is yours. The flaw lived in the AI's logic layer, which acted on recovery requests with no real identity checks.
