How do you prevent marine life being caught? And how come so little marine growth seen on the garbage? Great initiative and well done 👍

@shanelk335 We designed a number of features (the Marine Animal Safety Hatch) to prevent animals from getting caught. The main reason that plastics we catch look clean is that the water of this region is very poor in nutrients. Learn more via the FAQ page of our website!

Extracting pollution from the ocean is great, but I have to wonder, how much diesel fuel is burned per ton of plastic removed? This ship is MASSIVE and likely burns thousands of gallons of diesel per day!
