Tackle Sets - 4 sets (Jump/Quick/45/Vertical) - JS eat up space attack inside out, (visual we say is smell their breath, close that much space) heavy inside hand to stop inside rush, strong outside hand blow to widen rush, outside shoulder target if swing/bubble to protect throw - QS... flat as possible want to cover ground quick get in their face but play longer than JS - 45 base Set, set them on angle to defeat speed & knock them outside create wide dish, take an angle to take them off their rush, still heavy inside hand focus to take away b gap rush - Vertical when expecting true speed or twist, create initial space, talk about first big kick then settle pace to match theirs - stay square, turn shoulders when they do but always maintain leverage - General aiming points your near hand to their far armpit, inside hand heavy catch hand (think grab bicep/tricep if inside move) - two hand punch heavier inside near armpit pec location for inside hand - will drill in pre practice the set tree and in practice partner rush where dl will get 2 to 3 rushes on you and OL has to do different set each time rapid fire - Great job by these guys #5STRONG #BIGDAWGSshow more

Are you only teaching the two hand punch or is it just in certain situations? Any unilateral punching technique?

Definitely teach both. Thicker cover we get on guys the more like 2 hand punch but the inside hand can be used to grab defender outside bicep/tricep shoulder area to prevent inside rush rather than down his chest. Do a lot of indy hands in base pass pro.

Hey coach the quick set is little easier to recover since your staying square better position with feet to recover. So if you don't get lot of time with the guys that's the one I'd encourage. Push that to my freshman more early on.

Here is Yasmin Vossoughian Reports talking to someone inside Iran. This is journalism, not what CNN is doing by sending Frederik Pleitgen to Iran as journalist who is controlled by the regime and only reports regime propaganda narratives. Pedro Martinez on adjusting his delivery to move the ball inside vs outside.🤔🔑 Notice how he's not course-correcting with his hand/wrist at the last second (as some do), but rather is talking about making a full body micro-adjustment, subtly shifting the direction of his entire delivery. When pitchers try to get the ball glove side by course correcting at the last second with the hand, this usually results in the ball being yanked or cut. It's worth pointing out that these are his feels. Bobby Wagner only had five missed tackles in the run game last year. He's been one of the best to ever do it. What's the pattern? Even the best miss tackles, and it's almost always the same thing: the angle tackle. Runners are moving away and the helmet ends up going behind. That's where the misses come in. And it's my problem with the way we teach it. I see coaches drag dummies across the ground and the intent is to launch and roll. The roll isn't the technique. The roll is what happens when the momentum takes you down. If that becomes the intent, then all you're doing is promoting arm tackles. The order of operations is simple: 1. If you can't get your helmet to the near pec 2. You can't throw tackle to the outside knee 3. You can't stay on your feet You have to secure the waist before you leave your feet. That's the non-negotiable: not launching and rolling. Watch Wagner. His helmet is behind and he has to leave his feet, but his hands lock on the waist first and then he goes to the ground. He's not trying to roll. He's hanging on, securing the tackle, and the roll just happens. Then watch the miss. Full speed, helmet's behind, never secures the waist, and he goes right by. An arm tackle miss. Inside-out, near pec or outside knee. If the helmet has to go behind, secure the waist and then leave your feet. That's the order of operations.

I don't usually talk about this, but you are not going to twist this live and push your solo agendas again. You all seriously need to listen to the boys carefully instead of trusting short clips before jumping to conclusions. I hate that you all always make an issue out of Martin and James's relationship, and honestly, their dynamics as a team overall. You don't even know them personally, YOU ARE JUST FANS. These boys have known each other for YEARS, and you have no right to judge or overanalyze their relationship with each other. You all seriously gotta stop doing that. It's so fucking annoying and i hate that it keeps happening. To clarify, these are two different situations. Here is the full clip up until they started talking about phone numbers, WATCH IT: 1. First, Martin talked about how he went to Seonghyeon and Juhoon's room yesterday to hang out. Seonghyeon fell asleep first, and Martin fell asleep on the couch. Then Keonho and Seonghyeon mentioned that Martin apparently fell asleep in the hallway too before the couch inside their room. James didn't know about it and was concern about Martin because that was dangerous. 2. James is not the reason Martin fell asleep in the hallway, Martin never said it so stop putting words into his mouth and making it seem like that's what he meant, he said that he woke up from Seonghyeon and Juhoon's room and then was just too tired to go inside of James room (their room). So I don't even know how you all came up with that conclusion that James didnt open the door. [2 questions later... DIFFERENT SITUATION] 3. They were asked who they would call for help in urgent situations, and they all answered their managers. Then James said he doesn't even save the members' phone numbers because they see each other every day and he only used Kakao. Martin then said that he has been trying to call James to get inside their room [DIFFERENT SITUATION] because they are roommates, but James just chooses not to answer because lately Martin doesn't bring his room keys. They interviews were not under oath, and with their attorneys were present. Comparing the interviews to the body-camera footage reveals stark contradictions. Despite the body-camera video contradicting Deputy Barnes’ unsworn account, the Texas Rangers and Smith County District Attorney did not call Deputy Barnes, Deputy Baran or any members of the Layton family present to testify under oath. The video clearly shows that Jonathan came to the front door of the home he shared with his mother and brother with a handgun. Every citizen has the right to bear arms in their home. The video shows Jonathan held the gun in his left hand when he came through the door, and transitioned it to his right, dominant hand once he was in the threshold. The video indicates that Jonathan used his right hand to open the door his brother Freddy had closed to keep the dogs inside. As he came out, he transitioned the gun from his left to his right hand, but never placed his finger on the trigger and never used his thumb to grip the pistol. At all times in the video, the gun is pointed straight down Jonathan’s right side with his finger off the trigger, outside the trigger guard and extended down the barrel of the gun. Deputy Baran saw the gun first. He drew his weapon and ordered Jonathan to “drop the gun.” Barnes appears not to react to the gun at all. His hands are resting on his utility belt, his shoulders are relaxed and his feet are positioned parallel to the doorway. After Baran gives the command to “drop the gun,” two seconds pass before Barnes draws his weapon, ejects a live round from the chamber and then fires four bullets in less than a second. Although Barnes in his statement claims he only fired twice, the video shows four rounds being fired. Three struck Jonathan, including one in his back. Deputy Baran never fired. Barnes would later tell the Texas Rangers that during those two seconds (1) he noticed a blank stare, apparently looking closely at Jonathan’s eyes; (2) he saw Jonathan’s finger move inside the trigger guard; (3) that Jonathan bladed toward him; (4) Jonathan squared up to him; and (5) that he saw Jonathan’s gun hand start to come up into a firing position. Admin Post: They're finally plowing our street!! Of course there's no way I'm going to skip this opportunity to do some desensitization work with Kenji. He's a very confident puppy but those plows are big and loud. From a distance they didn't bother him but as they approached the driveway he became visibly nervous. Asking him to sit and watch isn't going to help that. Neither is retreating back into the house. Instead we move a few feet back and play a game of hand targets (I hold my hand out in various positions, changing from high to low and left to right, and when cued, he pushes it with his nose) and toss his treat a few feet away he does it. He also gets paid for eye contact so when he focuses on me he gets a reward. He still watches, but he's no longer fixated on it. He offers eye contact and will stop watching it when cued for a "push". The little "wins" of getting the reward are a huge confidence builder in an uncomfortable environment. Much more than just having him stand there being fed to keep him distracted from the uncomfortable stimuli. If he can't do a hand target on cue and isn't checking in with eye contact even when his name is said, he isn't choosing to ignore me. It means the situation is too stimulating for him so we back up to give him more space. Confidence isn't approaching big scary things (or even small scary things) barking and acting like we'll chase them away or eat them. The majority of the time dogs exhibit that behavior, it's fear based. Confidence is being able to function and not become overwhelmed in situations that are different and sometimes uncomfortable. That's our goal. And on that note, I can finally get out of the driveway to get tomatoes!
