This one from Sharpa The hand uses what they call a Dynamic Tactile Array, meaning vision and touch work together and their SaTA (Spatially-anchored Tactile Awareness) algorithm. Each fingertip includes a mini camera and 1,000+ tactile pixels, hitting 0.005N pressure sensitivity. With 22 DOF and 6D force sensing, it can do everything from eggs to tools.

It can print parts for its own tools, pick them up, clean them, and put them together, all by itself. Think of it like a robot that can 3D print a spatula, assemble it, and then use it to flip pancakes. 🥞 Instead of just printing objects, the Functgraph can actually perform physical tasks, like folding laundry or slicing vegetables, by using printed and assembled tools. Last night my son asked if we could 3D print an F-18 After my imagination stopped wandering to a place where I could print a full size functional F-18 I said of course we can print a 200mm long model of one It came out fantastic, watching it print was a lot of fun. I love thin layers for detail so this took about 6½ hours at 0.1mm layers Fun fact: Even as an adult I am incapable of simply carrying a model of a jet around the house. I am compelled to "fly it" around and make the engine noises 👍
