SUV goes flying over a Michigan highway, barely missing a driver. I've always wondered what it would look like for a car to jump off one of these hills. The clip was originally posted to Reddit by a user named StormCamperTTV who didn't provide context. A different user however named GoldenGarbear said they witnessed the aftermath of the crash. "I couldn't see all of it but I was getting off at that exit and you could see the tracks in the grass going up the hill and the guard rail was pretty mangled." "The police had also blocked off the on-ramps, and there were a bunch of emergency vehicles around." In an edit, the user said the following: "I just spoke with the officer at the school I work at, and apparently, the lady was conscious and responsive. Retired Police Chief Peter Bright and his daughter Jen Kemalian were in attendance last night to witness a truly historic moment in Canton. Following the interview of Chief Daniels, the Select Board voted 4–0 to appoint him as the town’s next Police Chief. It was a full-circle moment for Chief Bright, who served Canton from 1995–2005, following John Ruane Jr. (1986–1995). Police identified the accused as Dinesh and Kamala, a couple who had joined the household recently. Kamala worked as a house help, while Dinesh was employed as a security guard. Before their arrival, another couple, Vikas and Maya, who had worked at the house for nine months, had expressed their intention to leave for their native place. The body was later found by someone walking by and the police initially thought the death was an execution carried out by the drug cartel. After they investigated further, they found out that the corpse was a 58-year-old ‘nun’ who died a year before due to natural causes. The two women made an agreement before she died that they would "take care of each other" after death. The video on the left (now with blurred out face) is of a Jewish man walking his dog who, enraged at the awful chants coming from the pro Hamas lot, gave them the finger. As you can see, he was pushed away by police and warned that if he didn’t leave he’d face arrest. The video on the right shows someone in the pro Hamas group, giving a Jewish person the finger in front of a police officer who did nothing. The two tier element couldn’t be starker. For more than year British Jews have had to put up with this light policing of groups of people who are not shy about expressing their support of the aims of Hamas. This is emboldening and radicalising people. It puts us all in danger. Being antisemitic and hateful towards British Jews will do nothing to help the people of Gaza.

I was rear-ended hard last night by another truck. It was hard enough where my Cybertruck stopped working and had to be towed. The guy who hit me, was probably drunk, and fled the scene of the accident. Hit-and-run is a serious crime. Unfortunately, despite all these videos of the accident, his license plate is not legible. If you're in Arizona, help me find this guy... Video 1: Shows the accident from rear camera Video 2: You can see he changes lanes into my lane, never slows down and hits my stopped vehicle full-speed. I was stopped at a red light! Videos 3 & 4 show him making his get-away. Fortunately, I'm ok. It was probably the most serious accident I've been in my whole life, so considering everything, I'm grateful I just walked away. Also grateful I was in a heavy monster truck (the Cybertruck) rather than my little McLaren. I might be writing this from the hospital if that was the case.

Here’s why: First off, it’s against DHS policy & training for an officer to approach a vehicle from the front in this situation, and this “officer-induced jeopardy” negates the officers use of force claim and puts him at fault, period. There’s no debate on this as video evidence from multiple sources clearly show Ross stopping in front of her vehicle, and then taking the time to shift his phone from his right hand to his left so he can draw his weapon…BEFORE she even started moving. THIS is simply reality, and the conversation should end here. Second, it’s against DHS Use of Deadly Force policy (which is codified law) to fire at a moving vehicle that doesn’t pose imminent danger to officers, and even if they ARE in danger, it mandates deescalation before using deadly force, which EXPRESSLY states simply “moving out of the way” of a vehicle as a correct course of action before using deadly force (see attached doc below). Third, there is already well-established legal precedent governing these EXACT types of situations, and this officer would likely be found guilty by any jury in the U.S. For example: Adam’s vs. Speers (2020): “Once Speers was no longer in the path of the vehicle, the justification for the use of deadly force ended.” Orn vs. City of Tacoma (2019): “A reasonable jury could conclude that once Orn was no longer in the car’s trajectory, the threat of serious physical harm to him was eliminated.” Cordova vs Aragon (2009): “Where the officer had moved out of the way of the oncoming vehicle, the use of deadly force was not justified.” Villanueva vs. Cali (2021): “a reasonable jury could conclude that the Officers used excessive force, because they lacked an objectively reasonable basis to fear for their own safety, as they could simply have stepped back or to the side to avoid being injured.” Fifth, the videos/pics below CLEARLY show the officer was NOT in immediate danger, and the woman was moving away from him when he fired his FIRST shot when he was already clear to the left of the vehicle, and he fired the second & third shots point-blank into her face from the SIDE of the vehicle as she passed. That alone is enough to send him to prison, even if his first shot was somehow inexplicably deemed to be justified.

A 40-year-old guest lecturer was allegedly murdered by her male friend, who later set her body on fire inside a car before dying by suicide, near Jinkebachchahalli village in Doddaballapur taluk on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Saroja (40), a guest lecturer at a private college in Devanahalli. The accused, Ramanjinappa (45), a relator, is suspected to have died by suicide by jumping in front of a train. The car was completely gutted and the police found the body in the backseat in a sleeping position and the jawline facing upwards, indicating that she was murdered before setting the car on fire the officer said. Using the chassis number, police traced the vehicle owner, identified as Suresh Kumar, who informed them that he had received an alert about an accident involving the car. His attempts to contact Ramanjinappa were unsuccessful. Later in the evening, railway police alerted local authorities about the recovery of a mangled body near the tracks near Bidadi. The decreased was identified as Ramanjinappa through his Aadhaar card and ATM card. Piecing together the sequence of events, police concluded that the accused murdered Saroja and later died by suicide while attempting to escape. A case of murder and suicide has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

Police said she was raped before being strangled to death with a phone charger. She was alone at home at the time of the incident. There were no signs of forced entry. Officers were called to Park Road, Hendon, at 16:16hrs on Tuesday, 1 July to reports of a fight between two people. Witnesses reported seeing weapons before a man was driven at by a car, described as a white Tesla. The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene but it was found a short time later abandoned in nearby Mount Road.
