Exit velocity, bat speed, and all the data matter. At some point, you do need to hit certain physical thresholds to compete at the highest levels of baseball. But once you get around players who are all talented, the separator usually isn’t another 2 mph of bat speed. It’s mental toughness. Resilience. Confidence. The ability to handle failure. Having a consistent approach. Showing up every day. Competing when things aren’t going your way. The numbers might get you noticed. Your mindset is what determines how far you go. I’ve seen plenty of players with elite metrics fail, and plenty of players with average metrics maximize every ounce of their ability because of who they were between the ears. Train the body. Don’t neglect the mind.

Former New England Patriots OL Coach Dante Scarnecchia - Traits of a Good Sideline Coach (OL) - A good sideline coach watches all of the offensive plays and very little of the defensive plays. - Your job is not to watch the entire game. Your job is to coach the players you coach. Watch them play & when they come off the field, coach the hell out of them. - You need to spend all your time with your players, get/impart the information and make them better for the next series they go out there.

But after the 20 minutes expires, I'm going to give you $20 that you can use to go and acquire 100 customers for us, and you have eight hours to do so. But here's also a plane ticket, in case you want to quit the interview now and just move on and find somewhere else to work. So much of what we were trying to test for early on is someone who's going to do something to go and collect information, as opposed to someone who's going to collect data, scrape information from the internet and do some magical analysis on it. What if none of that information existed? You have to go and do things in order to actually collect information."

Three players have allegedly told Malaysian police they DO NOT want to return to Iran. Iranians in Malaysia are confronting the regime handlers in this video, while offering help to the players, who are very fearful. "We are spread across ALL hotels in Malaysia to find and support you. TOO MUCH INFORMATION FOR PLAYERS My dad, who was a HS Coach for 30 years has been saying this for a while… there are so many Camps, Workouts, Teams for players have go to in the Off Season and many of them try to teach these advanced concepts which sound great on paper, but most players that age need to lock in in doing the simple things really well. That is what is going to give them the best chance for success. Then as they build a strong foundation, you slowly add these advanced concepts while maintaining that foundation that was built.

KIDS: Every level you go up, you'll see less and less players trying to beat defenders 1on1. It's all about puck movement because it's harder and harder to beat players by yourself. Players are too good defensively at the next levels. Here are two great examples of really good players trying to go through a defender - but they turn it over and it goes the other way in transition for a goal. If you have a coach preaching passing when you're younger - even if you're highly skilled and can beat defenders 1on1 pretty easily - that's a coach that's helping you to succeed at the next levels.
