Skoda Slavia 1.0 TSI Automatic (Torque Converter 6 Speed) observations during: ✅ Brake Test ✅ Manual Mode ✅ 0–100 kmph ✅ Cruise Control at 70, 80, 90 & 100 kmph 🖋️ This turbo engine is the best in its segment for performance, remaining eager even beyond 120 kmph (which lands it in the illegal speed limits). 🖋️ Braking is 10 times better than any under 4m SUV. It grips like a leech even if you don't hold the steering wheel tightly. Among the 20+ cars I've driven this year, only the Altroz Racer comes close to this. There was no judder at all. 🖋️ The paddle shifters work like a charm. Downshift with your left hand, and the car reaches above 80 kmph in 2nd gear itself and pulls till 140 in 3rd gear. Very helpful for quick overtaking. 🖋️ Cruise control on the highway is extremely helpful to achieve the best fuel economy. The sweet range is 70-90 kmph in D mode with the gear at 6. It should easily return 18+ kmpl on a long highway trip if you keep the speed within 80-100 kmph. 🖋️ 35 psi tire pressure is a sweet spot with 2 persons for a good, comfortable ride, confident braking, and good fuel economy too. 🖋️ VAG salesmen/employees should ask their potential customers to come early to their respective cities and experience these features (especially braking) to understand the prowess of top-notch engineering that goes into the platform, braking & dynamics which others can over reverse engineer.
