But couple of variants in 15-18L segment would have made customers go bonkers. Bang on paaji! I have been using Sierra Turbo petrol and have done <2000 km in just a month. The rear seat space is unmatchable in this segment. I have driven it with family and full luggage on jampacked hills and other terrains. No other mid-size segment SUVs match this comfort

This is Tata being Tata. Set the benchmark first, then democratize later. Nexon EV also launched at ₹14L in 2020 — now it starts ₹12.5L. Give Sierra 12-18 months. ₹15-18L variants + local cell production = price cuts coming. Patience = bonkers value.

@Tataev could've priced aggressively by maintaining continuity from Punchev & Tiagoev, given the pricing of battery. Eqv ICE Pure Diesel AT is at 16L in comp to EV Pure. Moreover, there are RTO on ev in Bihar-Jharkhand pushing a base variant nearing 22L.

Exactly. Starting price of 15 would have been great. I would also call 16 or 16.5 democratic. 18+ is clearly premium. There are many who just need a working long range electric car and don't really want to pay for dolby and all.
