Tax Reform Bill debate heated 🔥

You don’t want tax reform? How will Nigeria develop? How do we stimulate production. Alcohol is haram, but the tax from alcohol is not haram. You still dey follow south share from the revenue from betting and motels. All you guys want is to go cap in hand to the centre to collect your monthly allocation without thinking of how to contribute effectively to the economy. You have vast land and heavily into agriculture. Why not add value to that to earn your VAT?

Some people’s justification for asking others to swallow what they (others) suspect is a scam; 1. ‘The north is a parasite’ 2. ‘You lot are lazy and don’t want to work’ 3. ‘You cannot reject alcohol and take taxes from alcohol’ 4. ‘Your governors are only after free money from the south’ 5. ‘You brought this upon yourselves for choosing Muslim-Muslim’ ticket’ 6. ‘You wallow in mediocrity and are afraid of competition’ 7. ‘You are too uneducated to know this is good for you’ 8. ‘Either this or we go our separate ways’ 9. ‘You are a bunch of retrogressives holding the country back’ 10. ‘You accept it now or the Supreme Court will rule in favour of Rivers and Lagos states’ 11. Etc etc etc While all the time punching keyboards with fattened fingers and bellies full of cheap, VAT-free food grown by the same ‘lazy’, ‘parasitic’ and ‘unproductive’ northerners. #Kontinue 😆

Why don't you want the tax bill? What are your arguments against it? State facts not emotion pls! How is the tax bill against your state pls tell us.

Because average northern politicians are parasites. They depend on government, looting, contract, and propaganda to survive . Why can't these people generate funds with the high population in the North instead of depending on the lagos population to collect a high share of tax

Tax reform bill has brought the rote in the system and administration of northern political system unlike anything we’ve seen before. The bill was not designed to favor the region as it was but that’s deliberate, it’s was designed to awaken and exposed their weaknes and lack of foresight for generations. They’ve been put in a position of “Sink or Swim” the only problem is that no one has taught them how to swim. If you think this will awaken the political class to start thinking along the collective interest of their region, then you are naive. They will learn nothing, the will do nothing because their are in capable. The quality of leadership in the north is incapable of bringing anything but mediocre. But I like the direction this is going. Status quo is not working may be its time for a whole new shift.

If this fraudulent Tax Bill Reform is passed into law, I wouldn't know what will happen to our Northern states. Please, God deliver us from the government of corrupt tax-collectors.🙏
