In September 2025, a once believed lost film was found in a private collection in Western Pennsylvania and the box of old film reels was donated to the Library of Congress's National Audio-Visual Conservation Centre in Virginia. One of them was a nearly 130-year-old, long-lost film by iconic French filmmaker George Méliès. It had not been seen by anyone in likely more than a century. It’ll eliminate poverty, and you really will be in a situation where anyone can have anything they want. The bigger challenge may be finding meaning in life. It can be assembled into various forms depending on the scenario, including bipedal, wheeled, and humanoid torso configurations, and its end effectors are also interchangeable. Each form of the robot is driven by a VLA model. It can perform complex movements and can also be integrated into existing workflows to perform tasks. It's worth mentioning that this solves the problem of which type of humanoid robot to use. Each user can assemble the robot in a configuration that suits their specific scenario, making it truly flexible and versatile – it doesn't necessarily have to be bipedal or wheeled... I look forward to seeing more real-world use cases.

That'll be a very cool image if we're able to achieve it by the launching end of next year. That would be an epic picture to see Optimus walking around on the surface of Mars. Assuming the first missions are successful and they land successfully, we would send humans on the next mission and we'd really start building the infrastructure for Mars. You would go and get a job as a computer where you would do calculations. They had entire skyscrapers full of humans....20, 30 floors of humans...just doing calculations. Now, that entire skyscraper of humans doing calculations can be replaced by a laptop with a spreadsheet. That spreadsheet can do vastly more calculations than an entire building full of human computers So, you think about it: what if only some of the cells in your spreadsheet were calculated by humans? That would be much worse than if all of the cells in your spreadsheet were calculated by the computer. And so, really what will happen is the pure AI, pure robotics corporations or collectives will far outperform any corporations that have humans in the loop. It will happen very quickly
