🚨 Ted “Lando could win the WDC this weekend, but then it complicates stuff because you’re on form, the car’s on form, I think I heard u say they found the steering issue at the factory. So that means you could get in amongst it” George 🗣️”Oh, I hope...

Ryan Fox says the way he played the final hole to win The Open with a birdie was the best hole he’s ever played in his life. He also said he told his caddie on the tee he was going to take it on and try to win the tournament right there: “Yeah, definitely the first part. I mean, I hit two shots exactly how I wanted to hit them. I didn't feel anything for the putt; everything was shaking that much. I was just happy to hit it somewhat near the hole, and to see it go in was incredible. “I did say to my caddie, Dean, on the tee that we were going to take it on, that I was going to try to win the tournament, and I'd live with the consequences if I stuffed it up. To go out there and execute, that drive is not a very comfortable tee shot, obviously, and to hit it in the fairway and give myself a chance was huge. “Then I landed on a good number. I think I had 160 metres to the hole. The breeze was a little down off the left. Obviously everything is a bit jammed up there, so it was just a solid 9, and I hit it exactly where I wanted to hit it. I think I screamed to it, "Please be good," in the air, and it was. “To cap it off with a putt -- everyone practises on the green, I guess, you've got to a putt to win a major championship, to win The Open. It's not like that in real life. It's not a very comfortable feeling. It's certainly very enjoyable when you see it go in.” What a fantastic attitude and a great example of why Ryan is now the Champion Golfer of The Year. He knows how to get the job done 👊 🇳🇿 Ryan Fox The Open

THIS ANSWER. “saying you won’t be the favorites in vegas. i saw you do this at least another two times: ‘we are not the favorites.’ do you think a change of mindset is needed?” lando: “no, i can say what i want, i can think what i want, i tell you what i always am, i always try and be as honest as i can be. if i don't think we're going to be quick, i don't think we're going to be quick. and i'm not saying i'm going to be 10th, i'm just saying i think it's going to be difficult to win. we were a long way off, just go and look at the data from last year, look at the racetrace, we were miles off. and there's been plenty of races where we've not been quick enough this year, so it's not like we've won every single race and you're expecting me to say those things. i'm just giving my opinion on ‘do i think it's going to be as easy?’ i won last weekend by 30 seconds, very, very easy. i won today by pushing a lot more, only 10 seconds, and max was probably the quickest out on track today. do i think that at a track that we've never been good at, we were very good here two years ago, we almost challenged max for the win, we've never been good in vegas. so why am i going to think, ‘yeah, it's going to be fine, whatever?’ i'm giving my opinion, i'm giving my honest opinion on how i think we're going to be. we've never been good there, so i'm not the most confident about going into this race. maybe i'll win, then we'll see. but i'm not going to lie and say ‘yeah, i'm very confident and i think it's going to be an easy weekend’ because i don't think that's how it's going to be. so no, i mean, you're very right to have your own opinion on what you think i should say and what i should not say and whatever, but i'll do what i like.”

Chris Webber says his 15-year, $75,000,000 rookie contract with an opt-out after the first year forced the NBA to change its contract rules “My rookie year they say, ‘What we’re going to do is you’re going to sign the largest contract ever, but we’re going to get you out after the first year.’ They said that it’s a risk because if you get hurt, you’ll have a whole guarantee because the option is yours. It’s 15 years, $75 million. So it’s a great guarantee, but we’re really doing this so you can opt out” “I win Rookie of the Year. I opt out of my contract. I tell Shaq all the time, ‘Thank you homie,’ because I used to get it quietly. Just waiting until Shaq re-up. I could time mine right after him. But it was just the smear campaign. I told the owners, I was like, ‘Please, I want to play here.’ They was like, ‘No’” “My agent was like, ‘You know you can go sign someplace on a one year deal now.’ And my dumb ass went to the worst team in the league to go play with Juwan Howard. Juwan ain’t even know I was coming. So that’s how Golden State happened. I had to opt-out after the first” “So no more in the NBA can you sign a long term deal with the out after the first because of what my lawyer did. And you can no longer sign a one year deal because I signed two one-year deals with Washington, trying to wait to get out” (via ALL THE SMOKE ft. Chris Webber)
