Term limits for Congress never get enacted because they run against the self-interests of Congressmen. Here’s the solution: propose legislation requiring it & just “grandfather” exemptions for those who enact it. It’d pass instantly.

Vivek is right. The people currently in Congress will never vote to limit their own terms. But they’ll gladly do it for people after them. Same approach should be used for reducing congressional salaries. Members of Congress are paid way too much given how incompetent they are.

It's infuriating! How on earth does Congress manage to maintain a measly 10% approval rating while a whopping 96% of these incumbent lawmakers get re-elected?! The numbers just don't add up! It's a clear indication of a broken system that's completely out of touch with the people it's supposed to represent. Term limits are an absolute necessity to shake up this stagnant mess and bring some accountability back into the picture!

Take out Lobbying. Take out Stock market trading and revoke every cent from the public figure that made anything off their classified knowledge. Make it a federal crime to attempt to profit while holding your office (and after with the classified knowledge you know). Make the job so unappealing to anyone who wants to do something nefarious with it. Do the will of the people, not the will of what you think we want.

Those members of congress or legislators who vote for it also must stand for re-election. Yet we are told a district judge could amend it over night with the flick of a wrist and never stand for reelection?! They don't face reelection precisely because they have LESS not MORE power than the other branches.
