Some people are NOT going to like this Tesla review. 👀 My 76 year old mom has owned her Tesla Model Y for several weeks and her car just got the FSD 14.3.7 update. Today she put 14.3.7, Summon and Actually Smart Summon to the test. Just an older Tesla owner telling you what she REALLY thinks. This weekend, I spent about an hour total riding in the back seat of my Model Y while using the updated Actually Smart Summon, across four different parking lots, some of them very busy. The car handled everything very well. Its behavior felt so natural that hardly anyone even noticed it was driving itself lol. The improvements with Actually Smart Summon in FSD V14.3.2 are notable. Tesla recently unified the model between Actually Smart Summon, FSD, and Robotaxi for more capable and reliable behavior. The car now pulls over in a much more natural and robotaxi like way, and responds instantly to app input. When you initiate the summon, it starts driving immediately. If you lift your finger off the button, it stops immediately. If someone is backing out, the car will recognize that and react before you could. Also, zero connection issues. You can feel Tesla laying the ground work for banish in the future. I'd like to see the max operating speed increased above 6 MPH. If you get FSD V14.3.2, definitely go try out the updated Actually Smart Summon. Here's some of my testing:

With how improved Tesla's Actual Smart Summon is now, I would be perfectly fine with the ability to "banish" my car after it drops me off in front of the store. FSD handles parking lots flawlessly at this point, it would just need to perfect the parking maneuver every time.

Looks like Tesla has updated Actually Smart Summon in FSD V14.3+ The steering looks smoother and more similar to actual FSD operation. Also, it now shows the FSD visualization when moving. Below is a rough comparison between V13.2.9 & V14.3.1

Smart Summon is so good on FSD v14.3.2 I spent an hour yesterday using Summon at Costco, and mid-way through my drive I had a genuine shift in my perception of Smart Summon. Just got my Tesla FSD 12.3.4 update. This is my third update in three weeks. Just tested it out this morning on a blind turn and it’s getting better and better literally every week. The great thing about owning a Tesla is that you get a new updated car all the time. You never get bored of the vehicle you are driving because the vehicle you’re driving is constantly getting better.

My absolute favorite new feature in this update is that you can now see in Dashcam recordings whether the car was driving on Autopilot or FSD (Supervised). After this update, the era of blaming accidents on autopilot when sharing crash videos is officially over 😂 #TeslaHolidayUpdate #HolidayUpdate #TeslaFSD #Tesla #TeslaUpdate

Screaming 13 is so good. Why is Tesla not sending it out? Maybe to pair it with the holiday update. Also I show how FSD moves as if it's attached to the car in front of it. So smooth, no delay, no lag.

Out working on the bulldozer today and had the Cybertruck follow me around the whole time with Smart Summon. When I finished, summoned it right over to pick me up. No walking back across the site. This is super cool. 🤯 Tesla autonomy showing up in real work. This thing is unreal.

Tesla FSD 14.3.2 Actual Smart Summon (A.S.S.) came in handy tonight in the pouring rain! I took an Uber break at Walgreens, and the sky opened up as I was leaving. I haven't used A.S.S. in several months, since back in the v13 days, so pretty cool that the first time I tried it out with v14.3, I actually needed it! BTW, the GoPro iPhone app is phenomenal! I was able to turn my cameras back on from inside Walgreens. GoPro nearly has as much range as Tesla Summon!

XPENG’s autonomous parking system is cool. The system is able to generate a 3D Model Interface and actively memorize parking lot structures, and space positions. You are able to save your preferred parking spaces, as well as marking entrances, charging spaces, spacious parking spaces, etc. If the selected parking space is occupied, it will automatically park into an adjacent vacant space. I would love to see Tesla implement something like this one day with FSD. Super useful if you live in an apartment buildings, etc.
