FutureAzA points to Bali Express testing it for three weeks, with the biggest benefits showing up on traffic-heavy routes: no fuel burned while idling, cheaper depot charging, lower vibration, and potentially much lower operating costs. I just had the most incredible experience on Tesla Full Self-Driving (V14.3.4). Before I even noticed, my Model 3 started reversing to make way for a semi truck making a right turn. It reversed and maneuvered to the perfect position, which allowed the semi to make the turn all by itself. This is sentience.

Walked the whole site, got up close with those massive liquid-cooled cables and heavy-duty stalls, and explored the entire setup. The engineering is seriously impressive. Charging specs here: This site delivers up to 750 kW per stall (full Megachargers can hit 1.2 MW). At peak power, the Tesla Semi can recover up to ~60% of its ~500-mile range — that’s roughly 300+ miles of range in about 30 minutes during a driver break. Even at 750 kW it’s a huge leap for trucking efficiency. What still shocked me: dozens of traditional diesel semis just sitting there idling for who knows how long, engines running, burning fuel and spewing exhaust right next to the electric future.
