Despite the USA team losing tonight in the World Cup and me not getting the opportunity to buy the new Model Y L, I’m happy knowing I still drive one of the most American-made vehicles on Earth. 🇺🇸 The Model 3 and Y took the top two spots on 2026 American-Made Index. Tesla has now produced the #1 most American-made vehicle for six straight years. That’s what makes Tesla’s story so special to me. American engineering. American factories. American workers. Just lost ALL Autopilot, FSD, even basic cruise control and Tesla Technical Assistance says they can’t do anything and apparently my car needs to go to a service center for a software update even though there are no warnings on the car. I got an FSD strike and the whole system went down. They said they can’t turn FSD back on and forgive the strikes remotely even though they did just that in January 2025 for the California fires. When I drove from Nevada into California back then my 4 strikes disappeared. Even the Tesla Technical Assistance Supervisor (who was very nice) says they have no way to fix the car remotely and it must go to a service center. Unfortunately, now I need to drive over 1000 miles with no type of cruise control or driver assistance at all. There are no warning lights on or anything of the sort. I even did a forced software update via the service mode and my Starlink, plus a few hard and soft reboots and that still did not fix it. Sadly the car is now less safe than it was a few minutes ago. Looks like Tesla stock is about to take a major hit in after hours. An innocent bystander caught this Tesla Van, confirmed to be using Autopilot (by the driver), plowing across the sidewalk. Obviously, we will be interested to see what the telemetry says but there’s no reason to wait for additional details. Richard Blumenthal with deep apologies we take back everything we said about you. Tesla needs to be investigated immediately and under the strictest possible methods. The idea that their technology would allow this is beyond criminal. I’m sure I’m not the only one that just sold all of my Tesla stock and frankly, I can’t believe I was ever tricked into buying it.

Tesla’s new Megapack factory in Houston will be their most capable yet, with an annual production capacity of 50 GWh—25% more than their other two Megapack factories. Once fully ramped, Tesla’s three Megafactories will produce a combined 130 GWh of battery energy storage a year, enough to power ~50 million homes. That's nearly 4.2x more battery energy storage than Tesla deployed in all of 2024. The Houston facility will be the first to manufacture the all-new Megapack 3 in late 2026. This product will partly source LFP cells from Tesla's brand new LFP manufacturing plant in Nevada (next to Giga Nevada). Recently Ross Gerber mentioned that it will be impossible for Tesla to scale quickly with their Robotaxi plans because they have yet to build any infrastructure as similar to Waymo. I am willing to bet a generous amount of money that Tesla is well aware of Waymo’s infrastructure and their struggles to efficiently manage their fleet. Tesla does not have $15 billion of excess Capital to waste each year on a copycat Fleet management process. Nor would they spend it if they had an additional $100 billion in excess capital. After validating each geographical map area, Tesla will sell Robotaxis to individual buyers, it’s possible that there will be an up fitting process to enter your own Tesla into the Robotaxi fleet. Tesla will sell cybercabs to individuals and fleets that can come online anytime the owner decides. There is no alternative viable method to saturate the market. Tesla is not going to purchase 100 separate properties in Los Angeles and pay minimum wage workers to clean puke out of vehicles. It’s not going to happen. Tesla is going to take the high margin SAS profits and determine the appropriate costs per mile breakdown to make a viable business model for vehicle owners. Coming soon- The Shepherd Model by Tesla. As mentioned many times before, The process to develop a nationwide network of fleet owners and shepherds is the foundation to also handle the deployment of Optimus robots for temporary gigs, part-time work, and generally cool shit.
