Tesla's global fleet has just crossed 13 billion miles driven on FSD (Supervised) after hitting 12 billion last month on July 17th.

This is the smallest this number ever will be. Exponential growth is here as more consumers figure out that autonomous driving is far, far superior to driving manually.

Anecdotal, but for at least two weeks now, my son and I check the driver of every Tesla we see on the road, and it’s consistently been at least 50% (seemingly) on FSD. Probably more. (And had an interesting situation today - 3 teslas at a 4 way stop. I’m convinced all were on FSD. All very cautious, but mine moved first (I was on hurry mode). The one that got there first was the last to go through the intersection.

I checked out the website, Holy Cow! In one cigarette it went 200 000 miles! Waaay more miles than if you had a smoke in the starship at full speed…

It’s incredible to think about what 13 billion miles really represents, not just progress in AI, but the potential to make transportation more accessible and, as the technology continues to improve, safer for so many people. As someone living with chronic illness, Full Self-Driving has genuinely reduced the workload of driving for me and given me back a small piece of my quality of life. I’m excited to see where the next 13 billion miles take us. 🚀

Thats nice, but without understanding if we need 13M or 1300M for this to scale to 2M+ Robotaxi's I don't know how to read into this milestone.

I’ve got >250K miles in Ys alls with FSD (HW3) however I’ve used AP the majority of them since it was more predictable. This is now changing with V14 lite and I suspect the miles in FSD will keep accelerating since bringing us into the fold.

All these miles and the smalleast leaps of FSD progress. we get 2 cars per week, pathetic

I wish $tsla and @aelluswamy would create a robotaxi / Cybercab website that showed the number of units deployed by geo and miles driven, real time. Perhaps they feel this is proprietary information and why provide it to uber and waymo. No doubt, they have all thisndata and are monitoring these metrics internally

It will be years before Tesla has full FSD. Supervised only for years to come.

It doesn't count, if you ask the registration authorities. NHTSA will review approximately 10 billion miles of unsupervised testing. And Tesla has hardly any Cybercabs or robotaxis on the road. Around 100 vehicles drive 500 miles per day unsupervised.
