As is stands right now… I could never buy a vehicle from another manufacturer unless they’re have an FSD system equal to or better then Tesla …. (NO ONE) can take FSD away from me … nothing else matters

Didn't Elon say 10 Billion was the magic number?

How long till it's a billion miles a day at this rate?

Hey @grok, please list how many days it took to go from each billion miles to the next, from 1 billion through 14 billion, so we can compare how quickly the pace is accelerating.

Profilbild von Future Thesis

At this rate (245 million miles a week) and assuming the rate will also accelerate we will likely end the year at around 19 Billion miles. Imagine all the edge cases that will come out of that many miles of FSD drives.

Hey @grok did Elon say that unsupervised FSD would be available once they had 10 billion miles?

elon said 8-nines is their fsd safety target - a very severe standard. u need 100M incident-free miles/kms to validate 8-nines, but it is correlated to sw version. it's hard to tell when v14.x.x reached 100M, but they shud be there now after 11 months. we don't know the detailed data breakdown but NHTSA does. they have enough evidence and confidence that their HW/SW stack is at the 8-nines level. this likely explains in part the cybercab launch timing. some chinese robotaxis have surpassed 100M total kms but across several years, none are remotely close per year or per software version and all are strictly geofenced not free-roaming like fsd is. nor are they incident-free ...

14 billion miles worldwide. Norway 🇳🇴 still waiting for customer FSD. We have the cars. We just don’t get to add those miles yet.

And Tesla has now admitted FSD was ENGAGED and traveling at 104mph when it slammed into the house a few months ago. Just another reason I’d love to release unsupervised so we can get this charade over with. The carnage of a few months would be the end of them.

For every company saying they’ll have unsupervised next year… no one can touch this.

FSD drives 90.2% of my miles now 😂 I’d be at 100% if New Hampshire potholes didn’t keep sending me back to the Stone Age.

Mileage growth is accelerating, though this only reflects training data volume. More data doesn’t guarantee smooth robotaxi commercial rollout.

The headline isn’t just 14 billion miles. It’s how quickly Tesla is adding the next billion. The pace of real-world data collection is accelerating. That could become one of Tesla’s biggest AI moats.

A billion miles in four weeks is a real data moat, but cumulative miles is a supply number, not a safety number. The metric that would settle the argument is disengagements per city mile over time, and that's the one that never makes the dashboard.

@grok fit an exponential curve to the FSD miles data and estimate when we will cross 100B total FSD miles.
