"You should lower the weight extra slowly, for time under tension." No. Muscles are 30 to 50% stronger eccentrically than concentrically. The lowering portion never imposes the same tension as the lift, regardless of how long you drag it out. Slow eccentrics force a lighter weight, exacerbate muscle damage, drive up fatigue, and cost you stimulus where it matters. Two to three seconds. Controlled, not slow. Then drive the weight up with intent. Stop performing the descent. Perform the ascent.

i truly don’t know how he is able to make himself look huge, he just talked about how he is always under the limit weight that the fia allows driver to be and he has to wear ballast (extra weight) under his seat 😭 “sadly even us drivers have a limit weight.. if we are under it ballast is added and i’m always a couple of kilos under the weight so i get extra weights”
