Verdict 🏆: This might not even be a totally fair comparison since Kling can generate up to 15s clips while VEO tops out at 8s. That said, Kling feels like it’s capturing more emotional performance and nuance, with more natural overall mouth movement. I came up with the concept, created it and delivered it all on my own in 3 days of early access, I wanted to make something that showed how Kling could be used to tell a diverse range of stories in a diverse range of styles. I've honestly been blown away be how incredible the model is and I haven't even scratched the surface of features like the new 3.0 OMNI model. For me Kling 2.6 was already best in class for most things but 3.0 sees massive improvements to video quality and detail (no need to add grain to mask imperfections) and prompt adherence. Also you can time your generations to be as long as 15 seconds and as short as 3, this is fantastic for pacing your scenes. Video Inpainting has now made it's way onto Kling. It's called Multi-Elements. You can now Swap, Add and Delete elements from a video to completely change the narrative. Here are some examples. I've always been a big fan of this technology and it's nice to see more companies exploring it as well. This is getting ridiculous. You need to try this AI filmmaking workflow. My Blender reference is embarrassingly simple. You can drive a precise multi-character shot with nothing but basic shapes. 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the scene in Blender with boxes, animate the camera 3. Feed both to Seedance This feels like a real unlock. Your 3D reference doesn't need to look good.

Been playing with a character consistency workflow again. This came from Nexora that starts with a single GPT Image 2.0 character sheet and turns it into a multi-shot cinematic sequence in Seedance 2.0. One thing I added to the workflow: I first comped the character, environment, and visual style together in Midjourney before bringing everything into GPT Image 2.0 to build the character sheet. I also pushed it a bit further by generating multiple characters, destinations, and art directions at the same time, then turning those into production-style character sheets and shot sequences. It's interesting how much consistency you can get from a single well-defined character board when the visual language, wardrobe, and environment are established upfront. Here are some of my experiments with AI generated filmmaking, pushing realism, narrative texture, and visual continuity as far as current tools allow. I combined multiple models for this and honestly, I’m pretty satisfied with how far it’s come. There are still rough spots, especially in transition seams between start and end frames, but compared to what was possible back in January, the progress feels massive. All the color and sound were manually adjusted I’m genuinely excited to see how far we can go in 2026. For this project, I call it Subject 168. I’d love to hear your feedback. To help maintain all the production costs, I used WaveSpeedAI for this one.

Okay, this one is the Grok Imagine version. But here’s something you need to note: I uploaded the character sheet I made with Nano Banana Pro as the base image. So it feels like this fake “Omni reference” kind of style, but it works 😄 Somehow, it’s much more consistent than uploading a still image of your scene with your character, because there’s a chance your character will morph a bit. By using your character sheet as the base model, it helps maintain consistency. The only problem is that when you do the img2vid prompt, you need to retell the setting, the action, the vibe and so on. But for me, I kind of like that approach, LOL 😆 Like I said, I’m getting lazy about animating images one by one. With this approach, I can just focus on dividing the shots, like shot 1: blabla, shot 2: bliblibli, shot 3: blublu, etc. Now for the comparison: In comparison with the Kling 3.0 Omni version, I feel that Grok Imagine is much more dynamic. But in terms of the character performance, it feels a bit over the top. It’s like the AI characters are acting it out 😁 Meanwhile, Kling 3.0 Omni feels much more realistic in terms of the acting and a bit more atmospheric. I honestly love both. If I want to fool around, I guess I’ll use Grok Imagine. But if I want more subtle realism and a candid feel, I’ll go with Kling 3.0.
