"You've never seen a more grassroots movement in your life" This is a really important point by Helen Joyce and we can't repeat it often enough in the face of constant lies about how we supposedly have all the money, all the power, bla bla bla... This legal victory was won by small grassroots organisations taking on the Scottish government, the Equalities watchdog and a huge NGO from their living rooms - one while running a farm! “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.” Before my involvement in the gender wars, I always interpreted that famous Margaret Mead quote as inspirational. That a tiny group of people can rise up and overthrow powerful injustices. But now I realise the flip side of it is equally true. As Dr. Kris Kaliebe, our brilliant guest this week on Beyond Gender points out, all it takes is a tiny but authoritarian group of zealots to take over a medical association and suddenly chopping body parts off healthy kids is ethical, medically necessary care. This is where individual MPs and Senators get to raise issues of concern of the parties policies. Hopefully there will be at least a few with a backbone to speak up against the Trojan Horse of "age verification" which is nothing other than a way to implement government-controlled facial-recognition Digital ID to log on to the internet.
