@hartgoat I bet there is water pooling on your roof, or the seal around your exhaust is bad. I would think that exhausts to the side of the house instead of the roof, but if it is through the roof, I bet you have puddles up there.

It’s leaking in through the vent cap on the roof which the exhaust on the stove is connected to. Either improper shingle work (most likely) or a damaged/rusted out vent cap (less likely but quite possible.) This is not a hard repair to make for anyone with any roofing experience. But my guess is some handyman went up there and slapped a bunch of tar around the vent cap which did absolutely nothing. Hire a competent roofer. That’s a $30 vent cap and a $40 bundle of shingles and an hour of his time. Like…just call a damn roofer.
