Was analyzing the “Kirby Smart timeout” situation while watching film this morning. Kirby Smart was NOT trying to convince the refs he was clapping instead of calling for a timeout. Smart was telling the officials that Auburn was clapping on defense. The announcers didn’t portray it that way. So many out there (including myself) thought Smart was trying to trick the refs. But that’s not what happened here
