The whole differentiation of the engines used on that plane seems to make sense but looking for skid marks for the engine was sitting or a crater of some kind does not. You're assuming that it landed right there where it sits. If it did happen it must have landed long before that and tumbled to that point perhaps even hopping and then settling right there which would fool people into thinking that it couldn't have landed there. In fact it could have bounced off a nearby lower building and then just plopped right there.
