This video has no inherent authority.

You have pronouns in your bio.

It’s so weird that you have this argument, But disagree with people in the replies who have assigned their own meaning to what you’re saying. ——- So guys, Everything Dan McClellan said here has no inherent meaning. We can all assign our own meaning to them if we all agree about the point he’s making.

What? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

So “given by inspiration of God” is a mistranslation. Theopneustos doesn’t mean “inspired,” it means “God-breathed” in the sense of “life-giving,” as in Gen 2:7. See here:

You're ignoring scripture to hold your view. ⬇️ Mark 12:36 KJV For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

@taboo_christian No, it’s not, you just can’t engage the substance of the video & so use petty & naive sectarianism as rhetorical deflection.

@taboo_christian I pointed to multiple renegotiated dogmas in my video. I’ve also provided evidence in hundreds of my thousands of videos, in several online classes, in a book & in several papers & articles.

@taboo_christian As I pointed out in my tweet, the video itself provides multiple examples of renegotiated dogmas about sin.

@taboo_christian I’ve repeatedly pointed out I provided specific examples of renegotiated dogmas & you’re very carefully avoiding acknowledging them because you know you can’t engage them. Not interested in letting you waste any more of my time. Bye.

This is heresy. Your view is a low view of scripture and because people can agree that God’s word can mean anything, then nothing is truly God’s word.

You place reason, particularly your own, as the rule of faith.

This is not a good argument. The Bible is full of examples of people WANTING to do things besides be faithful. If it was just a democratic editing power, the various pagan idols would have maintained. Especially in the Captivity and 2nd Temple period when they were outnumbered.

Not when powerful social institutions are the ones enforcing the agreements. I didn’t say it was democratic, I just said it required enough people in agreement.

Aristocratic then, it makes no difference. That people reject traditional morality is a familiar biblical theme. Because when the social institutions have become lax and corrupt from straying, they have to revonstruct biblical morality. It's authority outlasts the institutions

I think you forgot this…

Oddly, you speak with authority.

The apostle Peter says that scripture is more authoritative then the voice of God the Father from a cloud at the transfiguration. I explain below;

A little good morning rattle for everyone’s proverbial cages. 😂

You mean you don't want it to have authority because that means a changed life. Once again higher mis education seeks to bring down those who follow CHRIST. Get the absurd he/him out of your bio. GOD made them male and female. Period.

I think it being the word of god as far as it is translated correctly gives it some inherent authority.

This is postmodernism. Not Mormonism.

The entire RCC believes usury is sinful my man. Please at least have an idea of what you are talking about lol

Wrong … and this is not what the Bible says, nor what the early church thought/said. Where do you come up with this stuff ?

Great work. I would love to create Portuguese subtitles to your videos to reach more people in Brazil. We need those alerts.

I'll take heretic trying to get popular by telling Christians they don't need to feel bad when they disobey the Bible for $100 Alex.

People love to say that the bible is God's unerring word, but its interpretation has absolutely changed right along with the culture.

Silence heretic

You’re educated so much it has made you blind. You must Repent and be Born Again.

Since the nexus of the theistic religion is to create an in-group, its function by necessity is to cause collateral damage. To say it doesn't do the thing it was created to do is self-contradictory.

This feels like a freshman sociological take. Sure, some elements of authority are social constructions, but that doesn’t mean what you’re saying it means. Money is a soci construction. Your degree is a social construction. There is real meaning behind these ideas (eg authority).

An honest pomo theologian ... 😎👍 Once you've established that "the Bible" is NOT univocal, this conclusion flows naturally from it.

You don't have any authority, so why should I listen to you?

Read 2 Timothy three sixteen again.

So we need to jettison the Bible's authority for @maklelan's authority. Got it. And you are?

You’re a Mormon. Not Christian.

Okay, he/him.

islam looks almost the same in every part of the world it is practiced, not so with christianity because christianity does not take away cultural expression and is in almost every nation and cultural group in the world there's also different levels of maturity (younger brother)
