The Big O (1999)

@retro_twt It's a crime that didn't explore Big o more you probably could have made a decent video game or a longer series out of it. There was so much world building that was done. Like the insinuation that all of the humans were born out of test tubes and programmed.

@retro_twt Peak anime🔥

@retro_twt

@retro_twt The Batman of Japan.

@retro_twt This scene came from the 2nd season (2003) and was animated digitally but the 1st season(1999) was animated using cels.

@retro_twt Baller show, but after bingeing a ton of the old mecha anime this summer, my favorite is Escaflowne

@retro_twt I use to stay up late just to watch this as a kid.

@retro_twt

@retro_twt Good thing the city is mostly abandoned with an incredibly low population right?

@retro_twt Best anime ever in my opinion.

@retro_twt Does anyone have recommendations for some retro anime? I haven't really watched any TBH 😅

@retro_twt His speech is still one of the best speeches in all of anime. "The instant man stop fearing is the instant the species reaches a dead end, only to sink to pitiful lows, only to sit and wait apathetically for extinction."

@retro_twt batman the animated series was so good that japan made a physcobabble mecha show outta it. yeah some plot in the series kinda is out there specially the hint at a previous civilization. but the mecha activation chant is cool.

@retro_twt When Batman has his own Gundam.

@retro_twt Kinda looks like objection guy

@retro_twt What a pleasure that was to watch, my little tomatoes.

@retro_twt Big O is: plot: 2 script: 1 Animation: OFMG this is beautiful

@retro_twt This show had such a unique sense of style.

@retro_twt @ShoujoCent

@retro_twt i mean no huge spoilers but imo its kinda ruinned by being " in the end, it didnt even matter: the anime"

@retro_twt I loved this show as a kid.

@retro_twt Intro theme slapped. I used to think Queen made it

@retro_twt The Big O = Pheonix Wright and Gundam Mixed together

@retro_twt is this anime on Netflix ?

@retro_twt Ive seen a scene very similar in a live action recently, but i forget what it was... This was probably the inspiration for it.

@retro_twt What an amazing series

@retro_twt The dub for Big O is pretty great IMO. Either is definitely worth a watch.

@retro_twt Big O was not only an amazingly complex story of twists and turns but also had legit animation.

@retro_twt I think this show made me hate tomatoes.

@retro_twt It’s a good thing nobody was in that building

@retro_twt God i miss Big O. I gotta rewatch...

@retro_twt I thought this is bruce wayne a sec
