Rory Sutherland on why marketing works like a lottery, not a factory The biggest mistake in marketing? Treating it like a production line where every output has equal, predictable value. Rory argues that marketing belongs to the same category as Hollywood, the music industry, and publishing, businesses where most efforts produce modest results, but occasionally one hits the jackpot. To them, a new product was like a new-size bottle." In that world, sales and marketing people drove success and ran the company. For PepsiCo, that worked. But Jobs warns about what happens in tech: "The same thing can happen in technology companies that get monopolies like IBM and Xerox. When you have a monopoly market share, sales and marketing people end up running the companies." The danger? "The product people get driven out of the decision-making forums and the companies forget what it means to make great products. An RWA Marketplace bringing the $2.7 trillion Agriculture Industry on chain. Recently, the Head of Institutional Growth of Solana, Nick Ducoff, has been mentioning $AGRI alongside Baxus and $ONDO as the prominent RWA projects within the Solana ecosystem. For me, personally, I think that this project stands out in terms of market opportunities having a real impact in the world as we know it. The agricultural market is very inefficient, opaque and could use blockchain to improve the quality of the processes significantly, which, from an investor perspective, is interesting as you can start allocating funds across the globe and get yield from those investments. $AGRI is still a micro-cap, but given that it's one of the few working within the agricultural sector and building a real RWA project on Solana, I'm definitely keeping this one on the radar.

We’re pushing hard to grow #SmartDeFi and $FEG while keeping our core ecosystem strong. Our focus is on expansion, marketing, and continuous updates to bring more users, projects, and rewards to the FEG community. --- Expanding to More EVM Chains We’re working on bringing SmartDeFi to more EVM chains, giving projects the freedom to launch where they want while still benefiting FEG stakers on #BNBChain. Stakers on BNB Chain will earn from fees generated across all chains, making staking even more rewarding. More chains = more projects = more volume flowing into SmartDeFi, driving greater adoption and growth. These expansions will require development, and the timeline is TBD, but this is a key focus for us. --- Solana Expansion – A Possible SmartDeFi Integration We’re in ongoing discussions about the possibility of bringing SmartDeFi to $SOL, but since Solana can’t handle complex smart contracts, this would be a minimalist version of SmartDeFi built specifically for its ecosystem. It would maintain SmartDeFi’s core security and asset-backing principles but in a form that works within Solana’s limitations. The goal is to funnel Solana users and projects into the full SmartDeFi ecosystem on EVM chains, where they can access everything we offer. This expansion is still tentative, and we’ll share more updates as discussions progress. --- Marketing & Ecosystem Growth We’re making sure SmartDeFi and FEG get the exposure they deserve by pushing hard on multiple fronts: CEX Listings: We recently got listed on LBank, Biconomy, and another exchange, and we’re working on more to expand accessibility. Our focus is on expansion, marketing, and continuous updates to bring more users, projects, and rewards to the FEG community. --- Expanding to More EVM Chains We’re working on bringing SmartDeFi to more EVM chains, giving projects the freedom to launch where they want while still benefiting FEG stakers on #BNBChain. Stakers on BNB Chain will earn from fees generated across all chains, making staking even more rewarding. More chains = more projects = more volume flowing into SmartDeFi, driving greater adoption and growth. These expansions will require development, and the timeline is TBD, but this is a key focus for us. --- Solana Expansion – A Possible SmartDeFi Integration We’re in ongoing discussions about the possibility of bringing SmartDeFi to $SOL, but since Solana can’t handle complex smart contracts, this would be a minimalist version of SmartDeFi built specifically for its ecosystem. It would maintain SmartDeFi’s core security and asset-backing principles but in a form that works within Solana’s limitations. The goal is to funnel Solana users and projects into the full SmartDeFi ecosystem on EVM chains, where they can access everything we offer. This expansion is still tentative, and we’ll share more updates as discussions progress. --- Marketing & Ecosystem Growth We’re making sure SmartDeFi and FEG get the exposure they deserve by pushing hard on multiple fronts: CEX Listings: We recently got listed on LBank, Biconomy, and another exchange, and we’re working on more to expand accessibility. "We know this at Stripe. The people who are like, I've been talking to customers. I know exactly what we should do. We got to go fix this. But the people who have that pep in their step and they want to go make Stripe better." The idea is simple. The people who don't wait around for permission, who figure out what needs doing and go do it, now have leverage they've never had before. AI lets them execute faster without needing to assemble a huge team behind them. Second: double majors. "I think if you understand software and understand finance or if you understand software and understand marketing, you now can go massively improve the entire marketing funnel for your company and one person can do." John Collison connects this to a famous Paul Graham observation: "Typically an entrepreneurship team a founding team has a collection of like five or six skills between two founders three founders."
