"Black Devil Cave" in Taiwan. The name is a racial slur Chinese people call blacks. The Chinese defeated the Dutch occupiers of Taiwan and accepted their surrender in 1662. The black slaves of the Dutch fled and hid in a cave on the island. They ended up robbing and killing sailors of a British ship docked on the island. The British got so pissed off, they poured hot oil into the cave and burned the blacks alive. I just found out everything about that story is true, only the cave dwellers were actually aboriginal, not "black."

One of my failed attempts to dive down into the mysterious spring cave at our off grid stronghold. it’s so cold! Cave goes in at a downward angle with a lot of jagged formations on the ceiling. Easy to hit your head. Also current is flowing strongly, pushing you backwards.

The divers who came to retrieve the bodies of the Italian divers are among the most experienced cave divers in the world. Two of them were involved in the infamous Plura Cave Incident. Patrik Grönqvist survived the Plura tragedy and later refused to leave his friend’s body inside the cave system. He returned into the cave with a small group of fellow divers on an extremely dangerous recovery mission. One of the divers who joined him was Sami Paakkarinen and he was also part of the Maldives recovery mission. Physical game collections could be coming to the Steam Deck. A new Decky plugin called Decky Links lets you launch games using: • NFC tags • QR codes • USB drives • Even floppy disks Just save a Steam game link on the tag or drive. When your Steam Deck detects it, the game launches automatically. No game files are stored on the tag, only the launch link. It's a simple but really fun idea that makes launching games feel like using real physical media again. Credit: u/BlacklceLA
