There is big philosophy difference. Samsung pushes unbaked features to look good on spec sheet while Apple do when they feel confident that they Cooked!!
shamesung will most certainly bring the feature back now Apple has.
I've observed this cycle between Android and Apple countless times before. Android launched Android Beam, later discontinued it, and then Apple introduced a similar feature. Now, Android is also reintroducing that technology. The same pattern holds true in this situation as well.
The Samsung S10 Series was the last Galaxy Phone to have "Dual Aperture". No Samsung phone after brought that feature back let alone the latest $1299+ Samsung Ultra Models
a variable aperture on a phone isn't very useful imo. You either reduce the amount of light the sensor can gather, which on a sensor that already struggles to gather light. Or you introduce diffraction, which makes the already soft lens even softer when stopping down too much.
And it worked like absolute dog shit on the Samsung. Come on now
